Ayla sighed happily as she cuddled up closer to Jared, still drifting between a state of consciousness and sleep, her head resting on his chest and her hand on his stomach. Shawn was asleep in his own little bed in the corner of the room, and the house was still pretty silent, so she assumed nobody else was up yet either. Then again, she really hadn't expected Holly and Tyler to be the first ones up either, and she was quite sure that Jared's parents were probably gonna try and sleep in as much as they could considering Katie and Allison were bound to be early birds on the whole wake up call. Which was why she was currently enjoying the peace and quietness that surrounded her, knowing it wasn't very likely to last. However, she wasn't so much lacking in the sleep department as she'd been not too long ago, because the whole arrangement she'd made with Jared had, without a single doubt, helped their relationship, and just their lives in general, a lot. Her boss hadn't seemed upset either with her asking for a little less hours - she'd seemed relieved actually, as if she'd been worrying Ayla would crash and burn while working.
She stretched and yawned as she decided she'd actually had enough sleep, pressing a light kiss to Jared's cheek and slowly making her way out of the bed so to make sure she wouldn't be waking him up, grabbing her robe and slipping it on before she walked up to the crib in the corner of the room, smiling lightly as she saw Shawn was already wide awake, chewing on his little fists. "Morning baby boy," she whispered softly, reaching to take him in her arms and cuddling him closer to her as she held a silent, one-sided conversation with her son while waiting for Jared to wake up, or his sisters to come in and take care of that, feeling the need to inform the little boy of just how sweet and adorable he was, and how much she loved him. His first Christmas would definitely be a great moment she felt, though he wouldn't remember much of it obviously, but from the presents she'd seen being put under the tree last night - which included some from Holly and Tyler, Jared's parents and those her family had mailed over, not to mention a few from herself and Jared - he was bound to get spoiled, just like pretty much everybody else actually. She didn't even remember the last time she'd seen so many presents under a tree.
