The idea of bringing Ruth home for Christmas wasn't exactly nerve-wracking for Via. Her parents were aware of the fact that she was a lesbian and therefore had to assume that she did, in fact, have girlfriends that she saw. Of course, she'd never actually cared enough about any of the girls that she was dating to bring them home, but she and Ruth had been dating for a while and were in love so bringing her home seemed logical. During the short plane ride there, she made sure to take use of the opportunity, dragging her off to the plane bathroom - which really, turned out a little bit differently than what she'd been imagining given the whole space issues and what not. Either way, it was an experience and it did help to pass the time quite nicely. Not that it was a very long flight in the first place, but it was still nice to go back to her seat and know that she'd be back in Colorado soon enough, ready to spend the entire break with her girlfriend, having the best holiday break that she had in the time that she'd been going to the Academy.
When the plane landed she got off with Ruth and went to get her bags, knowing that someone would be around to pick them up afterward. After finding each of their bags, she made her way into the terminal with Ruth and tried to catch sight of either her parents or grandmother. Unfortunately, she didn't spot any of them. Instead, she spotted Joshua there instead, who looked annoyed at even having to be there. Not that she was thrilled he was the one there either, especially not with the way that he looked up her girlfriend the second that they started to walk closer. "Mom and Dad are at work, so they made me pick you up. So hurry up, I've got a date I have to keep with Candice and I don't want her to bitch at me for being late again," he said, turning to make his way out of the building without looking back at either of the girls. "Don't offer your help or anything," Via muttered as she started forward regardless, knowing that the ride back to their house would be interesting; given that Josh had tendencies toward speeding and road rage.
