Aidan had done his best during the past week to prepare for the evening he'd be spending with Mandy, making up for the fact that they'd pretty much been unable to celebrate her eighteenth birthday properly. Of course, it wasn't all he'd done all week - he'd tried getting back into his old habits, familiarizing himself a bit more with his apartment, also trying to look everywhere he could to see if he could find a hidden birthday present for his fiancee. Well, he'd found something hidden alright, in one of the drawers they apparently shared since there was as much of his stuff in it as there was of hers. However, he highly doubted it was a present he'd planned for her, and even if it had been originally, he'd quickly figured it would be rather bad taste to go through with it. Not that the sight of her in lingerie mustn't be amazing, but he was well aware that that kind of a sight wasn't meant for him in the slightest, and he knew better than to even bring it up, having no doubt that she'd blush a hundred different shades of red if he did as much as mention it. So he'd tucked it back into the drawer, moving on and trying not to think of it anymore.
It wasn't that easy, though. He was attracted to Mandy, there was no doubt there, and in the amount of time he'd spent with her... well, maybe it had to do with lingering feelings, though he didn't remember her, as much as with the fact that she was an amazing girl, but he hadn't been able to keep himself from just... falling for her. He didn't plan on sharing that just yet, figuring it'd probably just make things that much more awkward for her and not wanting to be the cause for it. Though, it'd given him that much more of an incentive to make sure he'd have a great evening planned for her. They were now getting back to his place after a dinner out at Nara's, figuring she might like that, during which he'd given her the present he'd gotten her. He hadn't wanted to go for something too sentimental or with too much of an emotional value, and so he'd just decided to buy the latest Disney movie out on DVD for her, remembering her mentioning it before, and she'd seemed happy enough about it. He didn't know if she'd want to watch it right away now that they were back to the apartment, but he figured a movie night couldn't hurt, and then it was her belated birthday evening so whatever she wanted to do, he'd be fine with.
