Lindsey had left Kansas City about eleven hours ago now, and she was definitely eager to get to the bus station in Davenport, especially after a three hours transfer in Des Moines which had been extremely boring. The only decent hour bus she'd been able to select had left KC around half past seven this morning, and she was scheduled to arrive in Davenport around 6:20, causing her to peek at the time on her cell phone every two minutes now that it was a little past six. She wasn't too sure what to expect by spending two weeks at Kota's house, knowing that Brooke would be at Val and Vince's house while she was at Dakota's, and to be entirely honest the presence of the other two girls was what made her the most nervous about this summer vacation. After all, neither of them were very subtle, nor did they try to be in the first place, and it wasn't something that made her exactly happy. She had no expectations of Kota's feelings for her being anything more than what a friend's should be, and she would much rather he wasn't made to feel that her own feelings for him were any different than that.
She pushed those thoughts out of her mind as the bus rounded the corner to the bus station though, figuring that it wouldn't do her any good to reflect on that now that she was about to see Kota. She couldn't deny that she was excited about it though, having missed all of her friends ever since they'd headed back home - she'd basically been the last student out of the dorm rooms - but him especially. There was just something about Kota that made her feel... well, she wasn't sure how to even describe it, but she was just happy whenever she was around him. He was a great guy and an amazing friend too, not someone you had to be worried about backstabbing you or talking trash behind your back, or anything like that. He just wasn't that kind of a person, none of her friends were actually. It made her wonder at times how she'd gotten so lucky as to find such a great group of friends, but she wasn't about to start complaining about it - except maybe about the fact that her senior year would be very lonely. She was lost in her thought when the bus pulled into its parking space by the station, shaken out of it as people started getting out and grabbing her stuff before following their example, getting her suitcase next and heading inside the station to look for Dakota.
