Tiffany was running late to the dinner that she was supposed to be having with Fred. Since they'd gotten back from summer vacation, they'd been spending a bit more time together. Nothing excessive, but it was actually done with the purpose of wanting to be spending time together. Since she'd gotten to know Fred she found that he was actually a much better guy than she'd have thought and she enjoyed spending time with him. They were actually becoming good friends. However, friends seemed to be where they were most comfortable with each other and it seemed to her that it didn't really look like it'd be changing anytime soon, despite the way that some of her friends continued to tease and hint away. Given their current relationship status, she hadn't felt bad saying yes when Jeff asked her out after being back at school for a couple of weeks. Ugh, she totally should have said no. The guy was a complete tool and he was the reason as to why she was running late in the first place because he'd had to stop her outside the store that she'd been at.
Now she was at least ten minutes late to meet Fred, which she felt terrible about, and she was incredibly pissed off because Jeff just had to go and be an asshole to her on top of it. She regretted the day that she'd ever go out with him, it was clearly a huge mistake. Her anger at Jeff made her walk a bit faster, muttering under her breath as she approached the Applebees where she'd be having dinner with Fred. It wasn't really a big deal, their eating out together, it was just a way to hang out together and having something other than the usual school food that they got stuck with. Still, she was so pissed off with Jeff and his antics that as soon as she actually made it to the restaurant and found Fred waiting inside, she was sure that she still looked like she was fuming. "I'm sorry I'm late, but I just have one question. Why do some guys have to be such assholes? Like, really? Is it insisted upon or something in some code that I just don't know about?" she asked, sighing in frustration. "Cause if it is, that code should require the same guys to wear a sign or something that says, 'Don't date me, I'm an ass'."
