It was rather early on Saturday morning when Daphne awoke, quickly turning off her phone's alarm before it disturbed her roommate's sleep. She'd always been an early riser, even on the weekends, figuring there was no point in having a different sleeping schedule for two days of the week, but she knew that wasn't the case for everybody, and though Tiffany was very nice, she probably wouldn't appreciate being woken up at half past seven on the weekend. Quietly, Daphne stepped out of bed and headed for her closet, trying to decide what she wanted to start out the day doing, figuring that would help her decide what to wear. Taking a glance out at the bright sunshine and slight breeze that ruffled the trees in front of her dorm window, she felt the need to go soak up some vitamin D outside, grabbing a pair of denim capris and a simple pink tanktop. She was so glad the weather in Kansas City was similar to that of Nashville, making it a lot easier for her to adjust in this new city. Of course, she missed home very badly, but she didn't regret her decision of coming here one bit, even after only two weeks of classes.
After grabbing a few more necessities, she tiptoed her way to the bathroom, glad that she had showered the night before, and started up on her getting ready routine. It didn't really involve a lot of work, changing into her clothes, pulling on short socks and a pair of sneakers before pulling her hair up into a ponytail. She carefully applied sunscreen to her skin before taking one last look in the mirror and deciding she was set to go. Heading back over to the bedroom, she put her pajamas in her hamper and grabbed her wallet and door key before silently exiting the room, heading downstairs so that she could ask the front desk lady to retrieve her bike from the storage room - things like these didn't exactly fit in the dorm rooms. Once it was out, she thanked the lady and walked out of the dorm building, putting on her helmet and biking off the grounds. In no time, she found her way to Macken Park, loving to bike here with the numerous trails. This early on, it was fairly empty too, which helped a lot - sometimes, people didn't really appreciate bikers going through the park, as if they owned the place. It wasn't like she planned on being reckless and hitting them.
