Zoey couldn't help but be a little nervous as she got off the plane with Marisol. They were headed to her house for Thanksgiving, since it wasn't exactly something that Marisol celebrated with her mother and she figured that it would be a good idea. Her mom was excited about the idea too and had been more than happy to open up their house for Marisol to celebrate with them. It wasn't her parents she was so worried about, since she was sure that they were going to love Marisol and she knew that they had meant it when they told her that they would support her no matter who she was with as long as she was happy and treated well. They had set the rule that Marisol would stay in the guest room, but that wasn't too bad of a rule to have, especially since there was one right by her own room. No, it was her grandparents that she was worried about, her mom's parents hadn't even liked her Dad... how in the world were they going to react to her bringing her girlfriend home for Thanksgiving? Probably not well, but for now she pushed those thoughts away and figured that they'd cross that bridge when they came to it.
Walking with Marisol to get their baggage didn't take long and then they were out in the arrivals section, looking for either one of her parents. Though she wasn't surprised when she saw her mom standing there, waving to them. Walking over, she gave the older woman a huge hug and smiled. "Hi, Mom," she said, getting ready to introduce Marisol but not getting a chance to do so before her mom jumped right in. "Hello baby girl," she replied to her daughter first. "I trust the flight went well? And this must be Marisol." She gave a slight nod of the head before moving to grab onto Marisol's hand, taking it between both of her own. "We are so glad that you could make it and we hope that you'll have a good time. Zoey has told us a lot about you." At least her mom seemed to be treating her just like she had always imagined that she'd treat a boyfriend if she ever brought him home - obviously with Dylan it was a whole different kind of situation since they'd known each other for years and she'd always thought her parents were kinda pushing for that to happen.
