Living in Los Angeles had been different than what Addie had expected. It hadn't been as bad as she'd anticipated, that was for sure - and while she had enjoyed most of it, and it'd definitely been nice when Holly had moved back, though not for a very happy reason. Regardless, she missed home. Kansas City was that to her - it was home, and she'd made it clear to Connor that this contract thing in California was a one year deal. If he wanted to stick around after that, he'd have to do it without her. Thankfully, he had agreed to those terms, and when his contract would come to an end in July, they would both be heading back to KC. Actually, she would be headed back in June so that she could find an apartment for them and get stuff settled back before he came home, since she could stay at her mom's in the meantime. And while she was finding stuff to pass the time while in Los Angeles, aside from school, she was still starting to count down the days to the day of her move, to when she would be able to spend as much time around her little brother and sister, not to mention Milo and Taylor and the rest of her friends.
Right now though, she had something else to worry about, other than the whole moving home deal and how much time still had to pass before she could do that. She had realized, a couple of days ago, that she was about two weeks late for her period - and while she had talked to Connor about the idea of having kids soon, they had both agreed it would be better to wait maybe a few more years before getting to that point of their marriage. After all, she still had to finish school, and she didn't want her babies to be that much older than all of her friends' kids, since she knew it would take Milo and Holly forever to jump on the baby wagon. Life had a funny way of playing tricks though, and it was like she'd jinxed herself by even bringing it up. As soon as she'd realized there was a possibility she may be pregnant, she had taken a pregnancy test, but she'd decided to wait before telling Connor. He'd been working on a big project for this month's edition of the magazine he worked for, so she'd figured it wouldn't be too bad to wait a few days. Today though, he'd handed in the last of his work, and she was tired of keeping this information to herself.
