Diane Edwards hadn't exactly had the best of times for the last few months. But then as someone who was battling cancer in its third stage, that much was to be expected. However, ever since her elder daughter had decided to give in and have a proper wedding, it gave her something to look forward to. Not that it really bothered her so incredibly that Holly had gone off and gotten married in Vegas in the first place - actually, she'd been surprised that Holly had decided to get married at all, given that her daughter wasn't exactly the romantic type. Really, the real reason for the big push for Holly and Tyler to have a proper wedding came from the want to see at least one of her daughters have a wedding and though things seemed like they were going to be fine, there was always that chance that the treatments wouldn't work out as well as they were supposed to. Since Victorya wasn't even in a relationship, she'd looked to Holly to try and make her wish come true and she knew that her daughter thought the whole thing was overrated and that's why she pretty much had done the bare minimum in response to the wedding.
But today was the big day and while she knew that Holly hadn't really wanted to do too much of this, it was still nice to see that she was in a good mood as she headed into the room where she was getting ready with Ayla, the bridesmaids that she'd picked. Already in her wedding dress with a towel over her shoulders as the make-up got finished up and her hair was put up into a simple style that looked great on her. She walked over and placed her hand on Holly's shoulder, smiling a bit as she looked at her daughter in the mirror, tearing up to see how all the hard work of the day had come together and even though her daughter had been married for a little while now this helped to make it feel more real. "You look so beautiful, darling," she said, wiping away a tear that had escaped. "I can't believe that you're actually having a real wedding ceremony with guests and everything. Tyler isn't going to know what to do with himself when he sees you." Honestly, maybe she was a bit bias in this situation, but her eldest was goregous.
