Addison sighed lightly to herself as she lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling. It was Sunday, about three in the afternoon, and she was bored out of her mind. She was alone in her room – even Mandy was out doing something, but she was stuck in here, doing nothing that was interesting in any way. She’d finished all that she’d planned to do that day, she’d even read more pages of the book for English Lit. than she’d intended to. She’d finished the essay she had to write about her latest painting, which she’d finalized the previous day, and she felt that if she tried to study one more minute she would go completely insane. And for some reason, she didn’t feel like drawing or painting, which was strange for her, considering she usually spent her time drawing even in her other classes when she ought to be listening to the prof. Well, she did, just not fully. And then, even when she was out and about, she often managed to find a piece of paper and a pen to doodle or at least do something of the sort. But right now, she didn’t want to touch a pen, pencil, paint brush or anything else of the sort. Maybe because she was tired or something of the sort… or at least that’s what she tried to convince herself of. Actually, it might have been more about the fact that she knew exactly what she was going to draw if she started, and she didn’t want it to happen at that very moment.
Tapping her fingers lightly on her stomach, she tried to figure what she should do. She really couldn’t keep staring at the blank ceiling or she really would die of boredom, which wasn’t something she really wanted to experience. She thought maybe she should try to do something new with her hair, but it was only a week since she’d dyed it a bright shade of orange, which had strangely paled over the week, possibly because of the amount of time she’d spent outside, and it was now almost blonde, with some tints of strawberry blonde in it. So it wasn’t necessarily what she’d wanted to achieve, but she actually liked the current result, so she figured she might as well leave it that way for now, and there was also the fact that her boredom made her lazy, and in order to dye her hair, she’d have to go out and buy all the stuff needed. She’d also finished decorating her side of the room so she couldn’t even do that to at least have something to do.
Groaning, she forced herself to sit up, frowning lightly. There was something she could do, but she wasn’t sure it was the best of ideas. Shrugging lightly she then figured she wasn’t known for her good ideas anyway and she got back to her feet, taking off the pyjama pants she’d been wearing almost all weekend along with the white t-shirt she wore to bed, grabbing a pair of skinny jeans and putting them on along with a black and white shirt. She didn’t even bother locking the door while she was changing, in case Mandy would come in. That would only have been funny anyway. Of course, when the younger girl was in the room, she usually changed in the bathroom, mainly because she thought Mandy might not even dare to look at her own body when she was changing. Addie was happy with her appearance and to her, a body was a body, but she knew it wasn’t the same for everybody so she usually tried to act properly for that. Once she was finished getting dressed, she grabbed her key and left the room, locking the door and making her way out of the building. She walked right past the school buildings and kept going until she reached her goal; the boys’ dorm building. Glancing inside, she snickered lightly when she noticed there wasn’t anybody at the front desk or even in the room. They really made it too easy. Swiftly, she walked to the stairs and headed up, searching for Connor’s room – he’d told her the number, so that wouldn’t be too hard. Possibly awkward thought, but she figured that they had to talk anyway, especially after what Milo had tell him. She had to set a few things clear. Taking a deep breath when she finally found the door, she knocked on it, hoping he’d be there.
