"All right, Connor." Vanessa nodded. She remembered that she saw him several times during the day because they were in the same class group. That would certainly make handing off the jacket easier instead of her having to run around the school in between classes. And that time was sometimes barely enough for her to get to class, let alone hunt down another person. Life at GPA was very fast-paced, if she recalled correctly. The students learned to love it though, because they ended up learning and achieving much more than they could have hoped to do back at the various schools in their own home towns. Briefly, she wondered where those places were for Noah and Connor.
When Noah offered to buy her and Connor a drink, she, admittedly, she cringed a little bit inwardly. After all, the last drink that had been around her and Noah had ended up as an accessory to both of their outfits. She made sure not to hurt Noah's feelings by not letting her reluctance show in her face, though-after all, she had been acting for quite some time. And if she couldn't hide that simply emotion from him, she might as well say good bye to her professional career. Really, if it came down to it, she would take the drink; to make Noah feel better. She could simply order a water or something; that way there's be less chance of anymore damage being caused. And it would be cheaper for Noah to pay for; not that she thought he needed to watch his money, she'd just feel bad ordering something very expensive-even if it was to make him feel better. She nodded along with Connor,
"Connor's right. On all counts." she smiled slightly. If Vanessa truly had a problem with the evening, she would've been long out the door. Most likely trying not to cry. However, here she remained, dry eyes and all. Vanessa raked a hand through her hair and looked back up at Connor, who was reassuring Noah that accidents happen to everyone. Once again, she agreed. Sometimes things just happen with nothing that anyone can really do about it. Sure, it was unfortunate that one had happened to her and Noah on the day they first met, but it wasn't an unheard of occurrence. Giggling at Connor's last remark, she added, "I'm not that thirsty. And I still have my Bay Breeze." she went to point where she had left it on the bar, but it had vanished; probably into the hands of some half-drunk party goer. "Correction, I had my Bay Breeze." she laughed again.[/color]
