So Cassidy couldn't say she was very upset that it was fall break. She loved Gordon Parks' so far, but it was a lot more demanding than any other school she'd been used to. That didn't bother her so much, though. It'd never been hard for her to get good grades, she'd been in private schools ever since she was even in school. But still it was the work overload that was a bit different, and even though she was adjusting quite nicely, the school system was very different here than it was in France, and seeing as the last years of her being in the United States for school dated back to when she was quite younger, she'd grown used to the way things worked in Paris, and it was pretty different from here. Either way, she planned on working just as hard as possible to get the highest grades she could. She had no illusions about being the best in her grade - there were many good students in Sophomore year that would beat her any time, but that didn't mean she couldn't work and be close second. She might enjoy having fun and raising her adrenaline count, but her studies mattered too.
Which was probably why she found herself heading to the library early on the tuesday morning of fall break for her history class. She'd learnt about France history for the past few years, and so learning about United States history was quite new to her. It was interesting, of course, but she could feel that she had a slightly different approach to it than some of the other students did. Not that she thought that a bad thing, after all she knew most teachers valued originality. But even then, she knew she needed a bit more information than what she had, and where better to get it than the school library? She definitely loved that library, too. She had yet to go there and not find what she'd been looking for. She smiled at the librarian as she walked inside the room, not really paying much attention to the other students who were currently in the library as she headed toward the big bookcases right where the small sign 'history' hung, figuring she'd find what she needed sooner or later in that section. Besides, she wasn't really looking for anything in particular, and she had all day.
