I was a little more than surprised when I got the call from Mandy yesterday asking if I wanted to hang out or something today. I haven't heard all too much from her ever since the whole deal with sleepover. I mean the girl has been avoiding me as if I carry some deadly disease or something. I mean I get that she isn't into girls and that she's probably a little weirded out but I mean come on. It was just kind of silly that she couldn't seem to hold more than a three word conversation with me and even in those three words she always looked pretty strained. It's not like I'm going to jump her and try and force her to get with me or something like that. I so do not want to have to force myself on to anyone. Besides, as much as it annoys the hell out of me, it's obvious that she's pretty into Aidan (which I'm still clueless about the appeal there).
So anyway back to the point, which was that I was really surprised when she suddenly decided that she did want to hang out with me again after all and be friends. I think soemone might have pushed her into it because she didn't really seemed thrilled about it. I'm highly doubting that it was Aidan (I'm sure the guy was probably pretty disappointed to learn that she would still want to be my friend after all) so it was probably Roxanne or someone else. I'll probably have to thank Roxie for it though because I'll admit that I've kind of missed Mandy. The girl is pretty interesting to hang out with, dispite what other people probably think about her. It's just the way that she sees things that is sometimes so off of what everyone else sees. It's actually kind of cute in an odd way. Sometimes she seems so very naive about the world and the people in it. But again I'm getting off subject. Today we did actually get to hang out and do stuff together which was pretty awkward at first just because there was so much tension that I'm sure someone could have seen it.
After a while though I just kind of sat Mandy down and basically talked to her about all of it. I told her that she didn't need to be worried about me trying to do anything with her relationship or any of that nonsense and that I did still want to be friends with her. After I assured her that I can just be friends with her (why she would have thought otherwise after how long I have been is again lost to me) but I admitted to her that I couldn't just make the fact that I like her vanish overnight. But I'm sure that it will go away sometime. Probably when I do find someone else to like. In fact, I do feel a bit of interest toward Ruth from the times that we've talked. She's a little bit different but I like it. And plus there isn't any denying that she's kind of hot. Of course there's always the chance that she's straight too. Which would just kind of suck for me. I don't see why most all the good girls have to be straight.
Okay, my hand is kind of tired from writing so I'll call it a night with this book.
