PERSONALITY
When it comes to the way Aidan acts, it is actually very different to the way he thinks. Growing up with very demanding parents, he was always being asked for more and more than he could give. He then decided to make up some kind of character of someone he wasn't really but would pretend to be, figuring it would give him good practice for his acting without his family really noticing, though he didn't think he'd get caught up in it. As soon as he'd figured out every little detail of his new personality, he started playing the part. He decided to be a charmer, somewhat a player, flirting around with girls and trying to get noticed by everybody. It was far from being like his real personality, but he didn't mind it as long as he still knew it wasn't who he really was. At some point, though, it started getting harder to figure it all out and the role slowly became more than a role as he pushed back his real self even further down.
When he was younger, he was a really sensitive boy, easily touched by many things. He was actually much more sensitive than his sister, quiet, nice and even a little bit shy. He wasn't one to go toward other people, he let them come to him, and even then he had some problems having a real and full conversation with people he didn't know well. When he decided to change, he became the full opposite. Loud, lively, extroverted, he went toward other people of his own accord and started conversations himself. He, who'd never even kissed before, started going out on date with girls he hardly even knew, practically a new one every month. He was the player of the school and is still quite known as such, though not quite as much now that he's eased up a little, figuring out that there were certain advantages to dating one girl for a long time than several ones in short periods of time.
He's not, however, essentially mean or selfish. He usually picks out girls who are looking for the same thing as him - a way of finding himself back though he never truly managed, and also, like any teenager, a way of finding some pleasure. He's never actually loved any of those girls though, but he doesn't feel guilty because he's pretty sure they didn't love him either. He's never really thought about it long enough to figure he'd really like to actually find someone who would mean something to him for once, just as much as he'd like to find himself back.
APPEARANCE
With his wide flashy smile and his bright blue eyes, this boy has made more than one girl's knees go weak - and he's not without knowing it either. There has been more than one pair of hands running through this dirty blonde hair of his. Well built and with a tan skin, he's your regular highschool hottie, for those who actually enjoy this kind of look. He's aware of the attraction most girls feel toward him and he plays the charms well too, quite an expert at it actually. From the top of his 5 feet 10 inches, he always takes care to look his best without actually looked like he does try - he likes that his good looks actually comes off as natural.
His dressing style is rather casual, but only the things that fit him best. He especially loves band t-shirts and he has quite a wide collection of them, some also featuring movies and cartoons. He also wears a lot of button up shirts, mostly with patterns and soft colors. He dresses accordingly to what makes him look better - the colors, the shapes, the fit, everything. He usually wears tight jeans, not too tight though but just enough. Most of his clothes, actually, have a tight fit to show off his body. As he says - when you have it, why not flaunt it?
He doesn't often use accessories but loves wearing hats and sometimes scarfs. He does enjoy dressing up - which is a good thing with his field of studies - and often tries different styles when he has the occasion and time for it. He enjoys shopping moderately - though he does prefer buying movies and CDs to shopping for clothes.
HISTORY
On May 12th 1990, in Pittsburg, Kansas, Aidan Christopher Steele was born second to his twin sister Sarah Ann. In the earlier years of their lifes, you couldn't have found two more different children than those two, yet it didn't keep them from adoring each other to death and defending everybody from separating them. There was not one thing those two did apart from one another, and they hardly even spent a minute without each other. They were never scared of the common things children are afraid of - monsters under the bed, darkness. As long as they had each other, they felt safe and didn't need any more protection than that. They seemed to be one another's shadow when they walked and didn't need to talk to communicate - they looked into each other's eyes and instantly understood.
When they turned ten, the first separation came. They were put in different classes at school, the principal thinking it would be a good idea for them to get used to it as they would most likely not spend the rest of their lifes together. It was very hard for a little while though they spent all their recess and lunch times together, but slowly they got used to it and even started doing things separately at home. Sarah started being more interested in science and such while Aidan got attracted to the arts in all its forms. By the time she was thirteen, she'd already made up her mind to be a doctor - she wanted to save other people's life and make a difference. Aidan formed his own ambitions as well, though quite different. He wanted to be an actor.
His parents weren't particularly pleased with his choice but decided to let him do as he wanted for a little while, thinking he'd soon get over it. The reality wasn't that though, and when he turned fourteen and asked to join classes and possibly get an agent, they attempted to put some sense into his head, saying they wouldn't spend money to make him study something that wouldn't get him anywhere. That was when he started making research on the internet, looking for some help he could get to access to what he wanted seeing as his parents gave all their support to his sister, keeping none for him. The year before entering Highschool, just as he was about to give up hope, luck came to him. He heard about Gordon Parks' Academy for the Arts, and the scholarships that were offered for it. He'd always gotten good grades at school and then he started working even harder, reaching the top marks in all of his classes. His parents were happy with the change, thinking he'd made up his mind to become something sensible, like his sister.
That was until the day Aidan received a letter from the Academy, telling him he'd been granted a full scholarship for the four years, in condition that he kept his grades up all through highschool. There was nothing his parents really could do about it - he had a good place to go to with the best of education and it was going to be free. Against their will, they let him go to the Academy. The separation between Aidan and Sarah, who were still as close as ever even though their interests were not the same, was very hard for them. There were many tears involved on both sides, but they both got over it with the amount of work they met in their respective highschools. He's been in the Academy since then, pursuing his dream, and has only just started his last year.
