RULES FOR PARENTS ACCOUNTS •
01 You must have at least 50 posts before you are allowed to make an account for your characters' parents. That's 50 posts as a whole - if you have two or three accounts, you do not need to reach that amount of posts with each account to have parents accounts made for each. However, those posts have to be, in majority, actual posts, not IMs or texts or diary entries •
02 Posting with parents will be restricted. Gordon Parks is a boarding school, and most parents live away from it, and logicall, they have jobs and such, and they know that their kids spend most of their days studying and doing school work. I don't want parents popping in here and there for a surprise visit every two weeks •
03 Here are the boards and situations in which you may use your parents accounts to post: Postal Services, upon sending letters to their children. During the summer and winter holidays, when their kids are back home. Graduation, if they're the parents of a graduating student. If your characters' parents live in the close area of the Academy and your character goes to visit them once in a while, this can be an exception, but PM me first. This site remains, first and foremost, an high school/boarding school based RPG site •
04 Celebrity claims for parents are not an obligation. If you don't feel like finding a PB for characters' parents, you don't have to. If you, however, do want to find one, the same rules as a regular PB applies; must be an actual celebrity, and you have to claim your face. I don't want people fighting over those PBs - and so, obviously, PBs that serve as a celebrity claim for teachers are not available for parents PBs •
05 Like your students, your parents' PBs must be age appropriate. I don't want Ashley Tisdale being Aly Michalka's mom, even if you try and plead by saying "but just imagine her a few years older". Your characters are teenagers, and so their parents will logically be in their late thirties or forties, unless of course your character was given birth to in his parents' teenagehood, but even then that brings us to early thirties at the very least •
06 Since there's no obligation to a PB, you're not under the obligation of having a signature for your parents accounts, unlike for your students' accounts. However, for those who do want to have a PB for them, I do ask at the very least that you have an icon. If you want to have a signature too, you can too - size guidelines remain the same •
07 You do not have to fill out the full application - we're not in dire need of that much detail as to their personality and history. There is, however, a short 'application' (more like a profile, which you can find here) that we ask you do fill. If you look at it, you'll see it's very short and basic •
Again, we reserve the right to add any given rule, at any time. This is only just starting and so there'll be a lot of things we'll realize along the road which we might decide we need to change or forbid.
