Talent Teachers
Allyson Winchester
Katherine Heigl
Subject: Arts
Short description: Allyson is one of the sweetest teachers you could dream of having. She hardly ever tell off her students, helps them a lot whenever they ask her even if it's after hours and gives them lots of freedom during class - they are often allowed to go anywhere they want to sketch or paint, as long as they do what they're told - she's not completely stupid either, she remembers which students should be looked after more seriously, but usually she's so loved by the kids that she doesn't have any problems. She's a very good painter and can make a portrait that looks like a picture to a fault - her technic is practically flawless and her work of art has been exposed in many galleries around America, and even some in Europe. She's an inspiration to many of her students. She also has some sort of love affair with the Film teacher, Jake Spencer, which everybody around knows... except the Principal.
Carolyn Adams
Jewel Staite
Subject: Music
Short Description: Some say there is no order in Carolyn Adams' classes because she, herself, is no more than a child in a grown up's body. But those who know better say that the woman is a genius and the best music teacher they've ever come across. She's the funniest, craziest, most interesting professor in the school. To her, teaching isn't a job - it's play time. She is so fun loving and adorable that her students simply love her to death, and her Music class has the lowest average of absence - you'd never find someone wanting to skip that class! She's also a very talented young woman and can play practically any instrument, piano being her best - she also plays any kind of guitar (electric, classical, acoustic and bass), violin, trumpet, clarinet, french horn and drums. She is a friend to most of the students around and can often be found walking around with the maths teacher.
Sarah Philips
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Subject: Vocal
Short description: Sarah is a former professional opera singer who decided to retire when she gave birth to her first child. She then looked for another kind of job that would still allow her to do what she loves to do - singing. Though opera is her best kind of singing, she can do anything else with her voice and has a very large range. She's strict but kind, very nurturing with her students and she pushes them to do the best they can - some say she's very demanding, but it's all worth it in the end. She knows how to make them better and how to help them develop their voices to its full capacity without damaging it. She's very careful with what she asks of them, never pushing them over their limit, but always trying to make the most of it.
Audrey Meyer
Catherine Zeta Jones
Subject: Dance
Short Description: There is nothing sweet or motherly about this woman. Demanding doesn't even begin to cover her way of acting with her students, and there is no nonsense going on around her classroom - if you come here to have fun and relax, than you'd better leave the room this instant before hard work is all you'll get. It is very rare that a student leaves the dancing rooms without feeling sore or exhausted. The Seniors, especially, usually have trouble walking when their ballet class is over, and hardly stay awake to last till dinner time. In the tradition of grand ballet dancers, she is of Russian descendance and comes from a long line of dancers. The dance students who are taught by her, however, don't usually mind her strict appearance and way of teaching all that much - those who do don't last through the years. Their goals is to make her proud, and most of them are in seventh heaven when they manage to make her smile. Her ways of showing them how to dance makes them better everyday, and most dancers who graduate from the school earn themselves a very good place in many ballet productions.
Jake Spencer
Milo Ventimiglia
Subject: Film
Short Description: Jake Spencer's classes are probably those where the girls pay the most attention - whether they pay attention to what he's saying or his body, though, is yet to be determined. Fun yet serious, Jake is most definitely passionate about his work. If you manage to name one film which he hasn't heard of or seen, you'd probably get extra mark credits. He's a film and books addict, always seen carrying either with him. Practically every student in school knows who he is and most of them agree to say he's one of the best teachers around, even those who've never had him, and one of those that knows his subject best. He never fails to give interesting work to his students and always manage to keep their attention thorough all the classes. He's involved with Allyson Winchester, the Art professor, in a love affair, which often leads them to making their students work together as a project - nobody is fooled by it though, except the Principal.
Joshua 'Josh' Dale
Tom Welling
Subject: Photography
Short Description: Josh isn't just a teacher to the students - he's a friend, a member of the gang. Of course, he doesn't actually hang out with the kids, though he can often be found talking with some of them during free times, time during which he often goes out for a walk. Even though he only teaches photography, he knows a great deal of the other students and enjoys meeting new ones every day. It's not rare that a girl or two will fall for him during the year, and some even try going further than that, but Josh's friendly attitude doesn't quite go that far... or he just hasn't found the girl strong enough to make him put his career in danger. He's not exactly a player, but he knows how to charm and win women easily. He's extremely passionate about his work and loves taking pictures - he often stays up until after midnight in the dark room.
Alec Forester
Jensen Ackles
Subject: Creative Writing
Short Description: Alec is a very serious and professional man who knows where to draw the line between fun and work. School definitely is work. There's no kidding around in his classroom - though that doesn't mean everything written has to be serious, it only has to be done in a serious way. He knows how hard it is, as an author, to actually be published and read, and it's probably what he tells his students the most. To succeed, they have to know how hard it is and how much they need to apply themselves. Often, it is often luck that will bring someone to have a book published, more than talent, but they can't let that change their way of writing. As an author himself, he's struggled most of his life to get recognition for his work, and it wasn't until later in his life that he succeeded. He know has a few novels out there, a few fan clubs, though he's not one to write best sellers or endless series of books, and he wouldn't want to either.
Bridget Allen
Rachel McAdams
Subject: Theater
Short Description: Youngest child of a family of ten, Bridget has been acting since she was three years old, when she first performed in short plays her older sisters and brothers wrote in their attic. At such a young age, she was already better than them, which lead to her parents signing her up for classes and going to several managers. She appeared on a few television commercials when she was younger, but when she turned six she told her parents she didn't want to anymore. She disliked the whole process of television and thought it wasn't a good way of learning how to act. With the little money her early and short career had given her, she managed to follow a few more classes until she turned sixteen, got a job and started paying for them herself. She has a very independent mind and is a funky, slightly strange teacher. She is extremely talented and can play the role of a man better than most guys she's come across. Drama, comedy, monologues, anything, anytime. When on stage, she instantly becomes the character she portrays, bringing her - or him - into life. Watching her play is a great experience in itself and the academy is extremely lucky to have her on board.
Sheldon Maynard
Peter Facinelli
Subject: Fashion Design
Short Description: To come.
Basic Classes Teachers
Freshmen and Sophomores
Morgan Mayer
Jennifer Garner
Subject: English Literature
Short Description: If there was one teacher that could ever get off topic but not off subject you're looking at her. She constantly talks, but at the rare intervals that a student manages to get something in it can throw her off in a completely different direction. Though the distractions have limitations, such as it actually has to do with literature for it to work. As long as it fits that qualification then it's all good for distraction. Amazingly though she manages to tie everything together to get what they need for the term done, although it usually means lots of homework for her students. However she is very kind and most students can't help but love her, she often plays as a consoler to her students as well and frequently helps them with their problems when they come to her. She practically lives her life for and at the school and in the time she has off she's usually coming up with new lesson plans that she won't end up following.
Jason Pratt
Steve Belford
Subject: Gym
Short Description: From gymnastics to full-contact football, without forgetting diving and ice-skating, that guy can do anything that is related to sports. Every morning, he spends half an hour to forty five minutes jogging around the academy before most students and professors are awake - sometimes he is joined by some of the other teachers, Bridget Allen being the most frequent, and even some students from time to time. If there's a healthier or more in shape person in Kansas City, nobody has come across him yet. Jason is a guy who enjoys life to its fullest without doing it the wrong way. He knows how precious every minute is and makes the most of it. He has a good relationship with most of his students, though he can't stand those who behave badly - the academy is a very in demand school, someone could be after their place, and he reminds everybody of that anytime he feels there's a need to it.
Tiffany Moore
Evangeline Lilly
Subject: Mathematics
Short Description: Accordingly to the grand tradition of maths class, this one is no exception – boring. Of course, the professor is very talented with the subject, and she is quite nice as well, but she doesn’t have the right touch that could make the class interesting. She mainly shows what they have to do, answers questions if they don’t understand the subject correctly and then gives homework, which they are free to do during the rest of the class. She is quite efficient – exams are always corrected in the following week that they were done, she gives very good explanations and makes maths clear for most of her students, but it doesn’t keep it from being boring. Luckily enough, she has a very sweet temper and not a big ego. She knows that the students don’t dislike her – though some have been heard saying that if the professor was more interesting, maybe the class would be too – but that they dislike the subject. She simply was formed in a way that what she does is teach, not entertain.
Matthew Kendall
John Cusack
Subject: Science
Short Description: Wonder anything about science? There’s about 99.9% that Matthew will be able to answer your question correctly, without even having to look it up. Geek or genius, either would work, but the man knows his job very well. He’s been known to be the funny guy around as well as he loves making jokes – though it’s not everybody that understands them at all time. Sometimes he tries too hard to gain his students’ admiration and respect, not realizing that all he has to do for it is to be himself, since his knowledge of science has impressed more than one through the years. He does enjoy fooling around a little, though he tries to keep it serious in his classroom, especially when they are doing lab – science is no toy, and he makes his students well aware of that – but all in all, he’s a great guy.
Elisa Bähr
Gwyneth Paltrow
Subject: Languages
Short Description: Born in Germany, Elisa moved to the United States with her mother when she was only six years old. She struggled for the first few years, used to speaking German and now forced to learn English. But when she got to really learning it, she fell in love with it – not the language itself, but the learning part, finding out what other words mean in a language you aren’t used to hearing. She is now fluent in French, Greek, Arabian and Spanish, and she can manage a few sentences in Mandarin. With her passion for learning also comes a passion for teaching, and she does it very well. Most students are quite fond of her, but quite frankly there’s nothing extremely special about her. They don’t like or dislike her, she’s just there to show them how to speak other languages. She gets along rather well with the other Language teacher, Alexis, and they usually make course plans together.
Kaitlyn Fisher
Lauren Graham
Subject: History
Short Description: Happily married for ten years, mother of three children, Kaitlyn is said to be the nicest, sweetest teacher around - when she isn't classified as a crazy woman. She is very passionate about what she teaches and it's easy to see when sitting in her classroom - she's been known to climb on top of her desk when telling her favorite historical moments. Despite all of her strange moments, she really is an amazing woman and great teacher. She manages to keep her students attention without a problem and would do so even if she were talking about the most boring subject on her. It is sometimes hard to say whether she is being serious or joking, but it's harder still to find anything to say against her. It's practically impossible to find one student among the whole school who dislikes her, as she is so lovable. She's very nurturing and helpful, hates having to tell off someone and spends most of her time talking - she hardly ever stops.
Juniors and Seniors
Douglas Anderson
Hugh Laurie
Subject: English Literature
Short Description: This guy is scary. Very scary. As in most students dread to be left alone in his presence scary. There’s not a more serious professor in the whole school, except maybe Audrey Meyer, and even then, she sometimes slow down the rhythm if her students are completely exhausted. He wouldn’t. He takes his job strongly at heart, and there is no playing around in his class. No speaking out of turn, no doodling or writing foolishness. He’s giving notes, then you have to write them down. If you’re supposed to be reading, that’s what you’d better be doing, because he’s been known to send students out of his class for doing something else than what they’d been told. Of course, he’s not completely cruel – he wouldn’t have been hired if he were – but he’s just the one you have to keep satisfied with your work.
Jacklynn Perry
Katharine Isabelle
Subject: Gym
Short Description: Don’t be fooled by this woman’s size – she could throw anybody to the ground in less than a minute. Growing up with a father who’d always wanted a son, she’s still to this day a real tomboy. Any sport that is usually associated to men (even when it’s wrongly done so), she has practiced them. She’s very friendly with her students though, treats them like pals, though it doesn’t go outside the classroom. She’s not exactly anti-social, but she does enjoy being alone after a long day of school, and if not, she prefers spending her evening in company of people of her own age. Most of her friends are guys as she gets along better with them than with girls – though it doesn’t mean she doesn’t get along with them as well – and she’s been known to be quite a party girl. She enjoys having a good time and tries to make it so that her students do as well.
Samuel 'Sam' Lewis
Jared Padalecki
Subject: Mathematics
Short Description: There's a new hot teacher on campus, and it's none other than Sam Lewis - maths has never been so appealing. He's the newest addition to the staff members of the Academy, only just graduated from University two years ago, yet there has never been a better teacher around. Grades have been going up ever since he joined the professors of Gordon Parks' Academy and it's not just luck or coincidence. This guy makes maths fun, which could almost seem like an impossibility in itself for most people, but if you hear a group of people bursting into laughter when you walk through the corridors of the school, it's probably coming from Sam's classroom. He's a very cheerful guy of nature and he's rarely seen without a grin or smile on his face - when there isn't one, it's because something big has happened, and it's probably best to stay away for a little while. Though he's very nice, he makes it clear that he's not the student's pal, he's there to help them understand and learn maths and is ready to take all the time needed, but he doesn't hang out with them. He prefers the company of a certain talented musician.
Thomas Cooper
David Tennant
Subject: Science
Short Description: Whether this man is a genius or completely insane, it's very hard to say. One thing is sure, a class with him is never boring. He makes science looks like a game, though he's extremely cautious whenever it comes to making experiments, and whoever is seen messing around with the stuff used is asked to leave the class without a word, immediately. Thomas seems to be one of those person who dreams, talks, eats and sees nothing but science - the whole thing fascinates him entirely. He's always making new discoveries and reading books on the matters - he's actually very rarely seen walking around without a pile of large books under his arm. Overall, he's a nice guy, maybe a bit too obsessed by his subject but that only makes him better. He's not a very social kind of person, more of a loner, but that's how he likes it and so people usually don't disturb him unless there's an absolute need to it.
Alexis 'Lexie' Campbell
Anne Hathaway
Subject: Languages
Short Description: Most people wonder how one brain can remembers so many words when they come across this professor. Though English is her mother tongue, she is also fluent in French, Spanish, Italian, Portugese, German, Russian and is currently learning Greek, Arabian and Sign Language - she also dreams of mastering Chinese or Japanese some day. Most students claim her brain will surely explode from the overload of information someday, but it seems to be a natural gift to her. Of course, most of the languages she knows aren't actually taught in school - French, Spanish and German are those she concentrates on. But some students sometimes go to her and ask for private classes or help on one of those other languages she knows, and she is always happy to give her help to whoever asks for it. She is always seen carrying many kind of dictionary and foreign books around, but it never bothers her to be taken out of her reading by someone wanting to talk to her. She's a nice person but she has good control over her classes - there is not making fun of her or kidding around where she is.
Joel Oakley
Omar Epps
Subject: History
Short Description: Joel is a quiet type of professor – he doesn’t talk very loudly or forcefully, and so he warns his students at the beginning of the year; if they talk at the same time as him, they will be asked to leave the room. He doesn’t want to have to talk louder than them to be understood by the rest of the classroom. However, even with his quiet way of teaching, he always manages to captivate his students’ attention and to make them want to learn more. There is never a boring class with this man standing in front, even if he is talking about a subject that has been heard hundreds of times already. He always makes it sound as though it was new and had just happened yesterday, and most of the time, students go to see him after the class to ask for even more information. He is also the kind of professor who thinks that he shouldn’t be the only one teaching, and he likes to make his students participate to the class in more than just raising hands to ask questions.
School Staff
Emmeline Richards
Kate Winslet
Job: School Librarian
Short Description: Emmeline was born in a city that would predict her passion in life, Reading, England, but moved when she was merely ten years old. The separation to her old country and friends was harsh on her, and with kids making fun of her accents as soon as she arrived to America, she closed up and found relief in books. That's when her passion started growing, and she knew that whatever she did in her life would have to do with books. She never expressed much interest in writing some herself, reading and analysing were her hobbies. She went through College and studied English Literature before broadening her horizons and studying French Literature. When she was 24 and looking for a job, she stumbled across an add announcing the upcoming talent shows at the Academy and decided to go and visit. She was struck by the place and instantly fell in love with it - it didn't take her long to obtain a small job as assistant librarian until the other one retired.
Austin Matthews
Matthew Settle
Job: Counselor
Short Description: Austin began working at the Academy about five years ago when the job was suggested to him by his mother, a retired math teacher who used to work at the Academy itself. He went to an interview with a bit of hesitation but found in the end that he absolutely loves the Academy almost as much as he loves his job. Kind, outgoing, and passionate he does his best to get to know each of the students - and his co-workers - on a personal level and lets them know that his door is always open for them. Despite the fact that the amount of students outnumber him greatly he always gives each person as long as they need to talk and listens whole heartedly. He never wants anyone to feel like they should be afraid to talk to him or that he doesn't have time for them. He takes his job seriously but also loves having fun and he's always present at every school event there is.
