PERSONALITY
Seth is an outgoing guy who loves comedy. He’s got this sort of bad boy reputation and sticks to it. Although he’s really sweet, he usually acts tough just because he’s so afraid of letting people in (not like he’d admit it).He keeps girls at bay, no matter how much he likes them. Seth has respect issues. He hates people who are disrespectful to him, even though they are his “elders”. You have to earn his respect, which he doesn’t give out generously.
He loves to laugh, even though he doesn’t do it much. He guards his heart and hardly lets anyone in with the exception of his aunt and siblings. Seth loves film but he loves his family more. Family is a big thing to him. He writes new scenes every day in which he hopes to someday produce with the Hollywood stars. He concentrates better in the quiet and away from people, mainly just because he doesn’t want people to see him actually working.
He likes to keep up a cool profile and doesn’t like to associate with nerd, stoners or any other loser-ish types. Around people he seems serious and intimidating but he is actually rather nice and care free. He’s more laid back than he looks. He’s sensitive but hides it behind his punk screen. He’s used to guys keeping away from him and girls being attracted to him.
He’s got a little bit of an ego, seeing that so many girls followed him around. He played every one of them and then dropped them easy. He never got attached, never gets attached and he’ll do whatever it takes for him to stay that way. More than one girl has tried to change them and they’ve regretted that decision. He’s not going to let anyone through the walls he’s built.
APPEARANCE
Seth is of average height for a guy his age, about 5”10, almost 6”. He has dark black hair that sweeps across his forehead and ends just above his hazel-green eyes. His skin has a slight tan to it, and it gets really dark during the summer. He has long legs and a short torso. He has lean muscles and can eat out every McDonalds without gaining a pound. He works out every day just to stay fit.
Greene likes to intimidate people, so when he is talking to someone he looks them straight in the eye and when a teacher is talking and they’re doing that look-around-the-room bit, he likes to catch their eye until they look away. When he is standing, he almost seems to slouch just a tad, his shoulders drooping. When there is a wall available, or really anything to lean on, he likes to relax and lean back, his feet crossed at the ankles and his arms crossed.
He also has this thing with tooth picks. His dad had tried to stop smoking because of a near death experience involving a bad lung and a Marlboro. So he had always chewed on tooth picks and Green sort of just picked up the habit. You can see him with a small tooth pick between his teeth when he’s relaxing or working on a new scene.
HISTORY
Seth Ira Green was born on October 17th in Lead, South Dakota. Lead is this small town right outside of Deadwood and a few miles away from Sturgis. His parents were a few of the rich people that owned an old mansion on the steep hills in the town. His dad invested in some tours that covered the Cut, which is a large hole in the ground from mining in the old day. His grandfather actually had a share in the mining company that owned that land and so his family came into a fortune. His mom was the principle for the Lead/Deadwood middle school where he attended before his parents learned that he wrote movie scripts and sent him to Gordon’s Academy.
Seth loved living in Lead. It was a quiet town, except when the bikers came once a year for the Sturgis festival. There were little stores and nice restaurants on the main road. There were two cemeteries where Greene went to write some of his older thriller scripts. In one of the cemeteries the only survivor from Custard’s last stand is buried there and Seth had used him as one of his main characters once. Greene has two younger siblings, a 13 year old sister and an 11 year old brother. His sister, Riley, and his brother, Damien, had always annoyed him but he loves them more than anything. Family means a lot to Seth, and he’d do anything for his family. The one bad thing about going to GPA is that he would be leaving his sister and his brother behind. At least his Aunt Pat would still be there to take care of them when his parents weren’t home. His aunt was always fun to hang with. That’s where he learned his sense of humor.
His aunt taught him a lot of things. Especially manners and how to be polite to a girl. His aunt had always joked with him that he would never get a date because he sometimes forgot that the girl was even there with him. She was the only one that knew about his writings before his mom found an old shoe box with his older scripts. He was afraid that if anyone found out at school, they would think he was a dork and he would lose all credibility to his bad boy character which acted as a barrier between people and his heart.
ROLE PLAYING SAMPLE
“I wonder what it would be like to be an elephant.” Lauren said, squinting up at the bright sun. Her best friend, Jenna, gave her a strange look.
They were lying on Jenna’s lawn chairs in her back yard by her pool. The sun was beating down on them. It was up to 102 degrees. Allstar Weekend was playing on Jenna’s large stereo on the small deck. It got pretty hot in Florida.
“ I mean, I know that was kind of weird, but think about it. They weigh a TON and they have that long nose thing that acts like a fifth limb. Wouldn’t that feel weird?
Lauren flipped onto her stomach and tried to imagine herself being an elephant. She giggled at the thought. She pictured a large, grey elephant with blonde hair and baby blue eyes walking around Africa and swinging its trunk. It just looked ridiculous.
Lauren had been thinking about elephants ever since her dad came back from a safari in southern Africa. He had brought her back an elephant’s tusk ( one from an already dead elephant. Her dad wasn’t the hunting type.) and she had looked up elephants on the internet. They seemed so interesting to her. They weren’t as slow as she thought they were and they were actually pretty smart. Of course she knew that the elephants in the circus did tricks but she just thought that the care takers and performers had tricks of their own involving elephant treats.
After that, she’s been obsessed with elephants and none of her friends could understand it. She had elephant stuffed animals, elephant key chains, elephant posters, elephant shirts and even an elephant purse from the zoo. She knew all about the Indian elephants and how they were different from African and Asian elephants. She knew a lot about elephants in general.
Lauren had always had an animal obsession. It was a different animal after every one of her father’s trips. She had always wanted to go with him to see all of the exotic animals but they just couldn’t afford it. So she contented herself with souvenirs of animals that her father brought back. Whenever she got a new one she would look up that animal and fall in love. It happened every time. Lauren was surprised that her dad didn’t get annoyed with it. She knew her friends did. Changing what she loved every time made it pretty hard to find a good birthday gift.
