PERSONALITY
The three main primary motivators/goals that Oliver always lives by are: Achievement(to become someone notable, to succeed and become the best of the best), understanding(recognize and appreciate all things that life had set out for him and understand why events and happenings played out the way they did in life; wisdom and knowledge), and play(the ability to live life to the fullest and know that life is short and use that to enjoy his life to the fullest). Oliver is always excited and curious about new things, even if they don’t pertain to his goals and objectives. His curiosity, however, isn’t always for the best and ends up getting him into lots of trouble regardless of it that were the intent or not. Though usually pretty unflappable, he has his tendencies of being irate, though he usually does a good job of seemingly not giving a shit if people crossed him or piss him off. Though, he is quite notable for his capability of revenge, and doesn’t hesitate when he’s set his mind to something.
And on that note, he’s incredibly capricious. Impulsive by nature, he doesn’t usually think everything through, though he makes honest attempts to do so. He just wasn’t made to think every single gesture through and this also often gets him caught up in a lot of trouble he could avoid had he thought about what it was he was doing. When it comes to disagreements, he’s highly stubborn. He rarely pays attention to the opposing views and is always right in his head. Oliver’s incredibly daring. He doesn’t back down from a challenge and is usually the one who begins them. He loves a challenge and loves accomplishing new things. Though the love of a challenge often makes him reckless and inattentive. Towards new people he’s usually warm and empathetic, unless he just doesn’t get the greatest vibe from someone then he doesn’t usually bother. Though his emotions towards people aren’t usually shown until he gets to know them, and they aren’t always necessarily expressed. He’s not a very good listener and doesn’t usually enjoy talking to people unless he knows them well enough to be comfortable around them.
Oliver has a great sense of humor and enjoys playing pranks on people. Though he makes sure not to get caught doing so, unless of course he wants the person to know. Though raised to believe that anything other than heterosexuality was wrong, by his father of course,-his mother never really thought his father was correct in the matter- he doesn’t mind other forms of sexuality, taking after his mother. Though he doesn’t enjoy being hit on by other guys and will often say something about it if he’s annoyed enough to do so. Oliver loves women, and often flirts shamelessly. And flirting often leads to turning up his charm and one-night-stands often brew. He’s a very lascivious person, and his style is usually seductive rather than romantic. Though he’d had one romantic relationship and had remained faithful through the entire thing and had been less brazen with her, he’d picked up old habits his father exhibited. Though not a big fan of exhibitionism, he’s known for his number of –erm, activities in public places.
He’s not necessarily opposed to commitment, he just wants to find someone who’s actually girlfriend worthy. And when he does, he’ll happily give up his ways to please her and make their time worthy. Contrary to popular belief he enjoys being tied down, and enjoys being romantic and all that good stuff with other people, he just never saw an opportunity to do so. Very touchy-feely by nature, he enjoys all the innocently intimate things that come with a relationship (i.e. cuddling and such) and often gets bored with having too many girls lusting after him. And he enjoys treating women with respect, something he picked up from his mother, ignoring his father’s disrespect towards them.
APPEARANCE
Oliver has piercing, almond-shaped, bright green eyes that often hold an air of vivacity that people tend to enjoy, though when angered they seem to pierce daggers through you. They’re usually always seemingly twinkling, mesmerizing people by the beauty that they hold. His face is what’s described as a heart-shape, very narrow at the jawline and expanding as you move upwards, his cheekbones and forehead broadening out from his jaw. Though not noticeable at first glance, Oliver has freckles that dot the bridge of his nose. You have to be standing face level with him to see them. The trend is followed on his back where freckles are sprinkled lightly over his rosy skin, barely noticeable at first glance. Though most of them will disappear as he gets older. He has amazingly thin, red lips that reveal a bright set of teeth when he smiles.
For a guy, his hair is thick and pretty long, though not longer than just below the ear. It’s usually straight, but is usually untamed, seemingly spiked out in different directions as if he’d just awoken, though that isn’t purposely done. Though he doesn’t take much care for his hair, it’s usually soft, when he washes it. His hair is a light brown, taking after his mother’s dark blonde tresses and his father’s dark brown ones. Most of his features resemble those of his dad, from height to shoe size, though his mom holds a decent amount of genes in his features, like her lips and her bright green eyes. Though, people always notice the resemblance between his dad and rarely notice any of his mother’s features. He looks exactly how his father looked in his younger pictures. Except Oliver’s style is most definitely nothing like his father’s style. Oliver in enjoys t-shirts. He rarely ever wears button-ups like his father, and he rarely wears dress slacks. Though he loves blazers to wear over top of his tees. His jeans are always a couple of sizes too big, and usually have holes in them despite his father’s attempts to buy him new clothes. He’s comfortable in what he wears.
Oliver is 6’1’’ and lanky, though he has his own set of muscles that make him sexy. He may be somewhat lean, but he has incredible strength that comes from sports and lifting weights. Long legs are balanced out by a long torso, creating a towering effect when he stands next to people shorter than he. Ollie has long, spider-like fingers great for gripping things, it’s one of the reasons he’s good at sports because he has proper grips on everything. He usually has a necklace hanging around his neck, the most frequent one a Celtic emblem, symbolizing his Irish roots.
HISTORY
Daniella Michaels had always been a very careful person. She was careful in her studies, careful in her life decisions and careful with her work choices. At an early age, she met the son of her father’s boss at a company dinner, and they immediately hit it off. Daniella began seeing the man, Jacob Stone, regularly. She became infatuated with him for his charm and good looks and his seemingly official devotion to her and their relationship. They continued dating for a while before she discovered he’d become distant, almost acting like she didn’t exist. They didn’t do all the things they usually did, he usually had better things to do, and all became too much for Daniella. And so they broke up, leaving Daniella brokenhearted and on the verge of depression. Though he ended up apologizing and blaming it on being a bad time in his life and Daniella, still very much in love with the man, took him back without much hesitation.
Soon however, she discovered that he’d had a relationship with another woman that hadn’t necessarily been over. When confronted about it, he admitted to the affair, but in a strange twist of things she learned that she’d been the other woman, not the other way around. And on top of that revelation, she found out that he had a two-year-old daughter that he did a horrible job taking care of. An ultimatum was set up before she ended it once more. She made him choose between the two women, and though it would have been selfish to take him away from the innocent child, Daniella was very deeply in love with the man. Though a couple of weeks later the notion of selfishness that would have come with the ultimatum was ultimately voided because she herself was pregnant. It was obvious who the father was seen as how she’d only had one partner in her lifetime. And when told that he had a son, Jacob was not only overjoyed but overwhelmed by what it meant. Young, and the father of two children, he didn’t know what he was supposed to do. And didn’t know for a number of years.
Daniella, stupid and naïve, stayed with the man despite his living arrangements with the other woman for four years. Until the absence of a father began taking its toll on the young Oliver, and she had had enough. She threatened to take the four-year-old boy and leave him forever, disappear if he didn’t become more active in his life. And with that scare his decision had been made. He would become the father that Oliver had always wanted. Though soon after that, he joined the military with wife and kid in tow. Eventually they settled in California where Oliver was raised. Daniella had always been under the impression that when Jacob had flown out, not for the military, that he’d been visiting his daughter, which she was fine with. She’d also been under the impression for years that he took care of her by sending her money and clothing. Though Daniella had chosen not to involve herself in the other woman’s life out of respect and guilt, and chose not to let Oliver know that he wasn’t an only child and that he did indeed have a sister.
Oliver had always been a gifted child. It was noticeable, the epitome of what a father wanted in a son. He was good at sports, loved to work on and fix cars. Loved girls, and always had one hanging from his arm. Though the one thing he loved that he couldn’t relay to his father was his love for the arts. Specifically theatre. He loved acting and he loved everything that came with it. And living in California was a big deal for aspiring actors. Though he never told his father and instead worked to enhance his abilities as an actor and grow all the while wearing a façade for Jacob. When he reached the age of fourteen his aunt suggested a school for the arts in Kansas City by the name of Gordon Park’s Academy. Interested, he asked his mother if he could attend the school, and she agreed knowing how talented her son was and how passionate he was about it. The problem was telling his father about it.
At first his father was against the idea, saying that no son of his would become an actor. He’d wanted his son to be a football player, or a doctor, something most men excelled at. Though after much preaching and pleading, Daniella convinced her husband that this would ultimately be the best plan of action because Oliver wasn’t as passionate about the things his father wanted and thus would not excel in them if his heart wasn’t in it. And so, his father allowed him to audition and decided that if he got accepted, then and only then would he accept the proposition to pay for the tuition and whatever else he would need. Of course, Jacob hadn’t known his son’s potential and had been banking on the fact that Oliver wasn’t as great as they said he was. But he was wrong and when Oliver was accepted, Jacob kept his word and agreed to pay for everything.
Before leaving his home, Oliver searched through boxes in the attic; things of theirs that they’d never went through out of laziness. And in his search for his things, he’d found an unlabeled box that looked like a small shoebox. Inside it contained one old, worn looking pink shoe, a necklace and a picture of a young girl. Without a reason, he took the picture and would eventually carry it around everywhere he went. He never really understood why he’d had such an attachment to the memento, but he did and carried it everywhere with him, though he’d never really asked his parents about it, figuring it was an old picture of someone in their family. And so he embarked on his journey to the academy, hopeful for good things and gaining experience in his field of study.
ROLE PLAYING SAMPLE
Such a slacker. That much was obvious. Instead of doing his stacks of homework which were due within the week, Oliver stood hunched over a table, one eye close one opened as he lined up his shot. He’d bet the man currently circulating the table one hundred bucks that said Oliver would win that game. And win he would. That was chump change, and he might have actually felt bad for the amateur if he wasn’t so bored. Oliver took a second to yawn, standing up and stretching. The shot would most definitely be easy, and with the shot he currently had, three of his balls would go in, and then make it impossible for his opponent to hit any in. Well not impossible, no shot was truly impossible. But damn there impossible. Especially for an amateur. What was up with Jackie and being late, he could have saved that guy from utter embarrassment if she’d just been there on time. But no, here he was leaning over the table, four balls left on the table, three about to be sunk. Which left the eight ball, and that wasn’t going to be difficult.
Leaning back over the table, Oliver shook out his excitement, lined up his shot and hit the ball, watching amusedly as all of the balls he’d set out to pocket fell into their proper places, a look of astonishment flooding the guy’s face. Sure, Ollie was young, but it didn’t mean he wasn’t a champion at pool. Which was why it was always so fun playing against Jackie. Because she knew his weaknesses and she knew how to use them to her advantages. Not to mention she had a killer body and watching her lean over the side of a pool table was basically begging for him to take action. Though he never did and usually just sat drinking whatever he’d picked up. Calling the pocket the eight ball would sink in, Oliver hit the ball and watched in glee as it it did just that. He snatched up the money, grinning as the man walked away in defeat and pocketed it. One-hundred dollars richer. His eyes turned towards the door as he looked at his watch expectantly. He grinned when he saw her enter, spreading his legs and leaning against the table. Pool stick placed suggestively between his legs.
“Well, nice of you to finally join me. I knew you wouldn’t be able to stay away for long.” He said with a smirk.
