PERSONALITY
Beth is an incredibly social person, she loves to be around people and loves to be in large groups of them. She's outgoing and friendly and most of the time can make a number of friends easily. Often times the first word that people describe her with is fun, she always has a story to tell for most every situation. After dancing she lives to socialize. It's important to her to always have a lot of friends and someone to talk to considering that she hardly ever shuts up. And while although she quite likes having the spotlight she doesn't always need to be the center of attention either, she can deal with just being in the background as long as she's having fun doing it because boredom isn't something that she handles very easily.
Although academically Bethanie is a very smart girl sometimes she doesn't exactly show it all too much while she speaks, she's easily confused and gullible as well. Though she's also incredibly stubborn. Once she has her mind set on something she stands firm to it and there is very little that can break her faith in it, even once she's proved wrong she doesn't like to acknowledge the fact that she was. And don't bother telling her that she can't do something either because she'll be sure to prove you wrong on that as well. She's extremely determined to get where she wants to go and won't let anyone tell her that she isn't able to do anything.
She's incredibly emotional and puts everything she has into what she goes. Though she isn't likely to cry much over something that happens to herself, she is likely to be the type that would cry for other people. Sad movies and books always manage to snag her and make her cry. On the other side of the scale she's also quite quick tempered and argumentative at times. If someone hits a subject that she cares about she's pretty quick to loose her cool. Luckily, she's also someone who manages to calm down pretty quickly too. She doesn't like to hold grudges against people and if they apologize she can pretty quickly forgive them.
APPEARANCE
Beth has nothing to complain about when she looks in the mirror. Standing at 5'5 1/2" with bright blue eyes and dark brown hair - which is naturally blonde but she's dyed it since she's turned 13 - and a bright white smile she looks as friendly as she is. Most of the time her skin is a bit more on the pale side but every once in a while she allows herself to go tanning and get a bit more color on her skin. She's got a slim figure from all the dancing that she goes and the diet that she keeps and goes through a lot of work to keep it that way.
She spends a lot of time on her appearance, taking the time to pick out her outfits for the next day before she goes to sleep as well as spending quite a bit of time on her hair and make-up each morning. She likes to look her best all the time and tries to make sure that she does. She does spend quite a bit of money each year on appearance and shopping and loves to get new clothes even though she's already got quite a big collection.
HISTORY
Bethanie Caroline Williams was born to parents Kayla Fox and Justin Williams (both aged at 18 years old) at 5:50 p.m. on June 1st, 1993 in East Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was the first born for the couple and would come to be the older sister of another baby girl, to be named Melanie, four years later. Although her parents weren't married - and still aren't - and weren't expecting Bethanie when she came they made a very happy and loving home for their daughter with the help of each of their parents who bought the new family their home and came often to visit their granddaughter. The family was close knit and spent a lot of time together even though her grandparents didn't exactly approve of the fact that her parents didn't choose to be married.
From an early age she proved to be very social, probably from the help of her parents so often setting up play dates. But even before that she never had problems as a young toddler being passed around from person to person and once she began talking she did so frequently with people, using the words that she knew. Once she started school she loved it just because it meant that she would be around kids all the time and once her sister was born she was instantly trying to be the best big sister ever. She wasn't ever jealous of the attention that the new baby got and instead did her best to help teach her everything that she knew from the second that she was able to learn anything.
At the very young age of four years old Bethanie marched up to her parents and told them that she wanted to be a ballerina when she grew up. And to make their daughter happy they put her into young children dancing lessons which she enjoyed immensely. Though as she grew older she realized that while she liked ballet it wasn't her favorite style of dance. Instead she found herself enjoying a lot of other types of dance. From hip-hop to swing to latin and everything in between she took a classes on all of it. Dancing was the thing that she loved the most and put the most energy into, constantly striving to get better. Both her parents and grandparents greatly supported her dancing and were always there every time she had a performance. They didn't mind putting out the money to help her get better at something that she was obviously so good at.
The way that Beth found out from the Academy was actually through her dance teacher, who suggested it to her parents as it was where she had gone herself. Her parents were reluctant toward the idea, wanting to give their daughter the best that they could but also not wanting to be away from her for so long each year. So it took several long talks between Bethanie and her parents, Bethanie and her grandparents and her parents and her grandparents before they agreed to let her go. So an application was sent and an interview attended before she was accepted. Bethanie was excited for the opportunity although she was sad to tell her friends goodbye and Stephanie too seeing as they were close but the 11 year old had already made up her mind that she was going to work to follow in her sister's footsteps. And once all the goodbyes were said she got herself on a plane and got ready for what she was sure was going to be the biggest and best thing of her life to date.
