PERSONALITY
Dylan is really your typical, average kind of teenager. He's not the kind of guy who wastes words or time on people he doesn't like, and he tends to hang out a bit more with the popular crowd than the outcasts but he's not the kind of guy who'll bash at the people he doesn't spend time with either. He's not much of a talker, being more of a guy of actions, but he has no problem making his opinions known either - basically, he won't be the type to start up a conversation, but if the subject calls to him or he disagrees with what is being said, he won't have the slightest bit of a problem getting involved. He's not blunt per say, but he believes in saying things as they are as long as it's not bound to be very mean or hurtful. He's without a doubt someone you could classify as an athlete, though he by no means goes along with the stereotypical description of a jock, aside maybe from the fact that he is extremely competitive and tends to be pretty popular with girls.
School is far from being his main focus, but he's still a very smart guy and he can apply himself easily when he sets his mind to it. He doesn't particularly enjoy most of his classes but he's been taught from a young age to do what he has to do before he moves on to more enjoyable activities - kind of like a 'work first, play later' mindset. Of course, he doesn't always follow that rule, he is after all still a teenager, but he's responsible enough that he always gets his school work done on time and he does it well, not wanting to have to deal with the consequences of flunking again. He's very much a hothead and his temper sometimes gets the better of him, especially when people make remarks that hint to the fact that, since he's into sports, he doesn't have much of a brain to speak of, and he's gotten involved in a few physical fights through his earlier school years, something his father never really full heartedly discouraged, thinking that 'boys will be boys', but all in all he's not actually a violent type of person - generally, he's more of the type to retaliate.
Being an eighteen year old guy, one of his main focus is obviously girls. He has quite a bit of experience when it comes to that department, and so far none of the girls he's dated has had anything to complain about when it comes to how they're being treated and such. He's a mix between a proper gentleman and your regular high school guy - he doesn't bring flowers on dates but he does hold the door open, and he will much prefer a makeout session to a long walk in the park or on the beach but he'll still take the time to get to know the girl he's dating.
APPEARANCE
If there's one thing Dylan doesn't have to envy to anybody, it's their looks, because he's definitely been gifted properly enough in that department. Standing at six feet and one inch, with a strong muscular built resulting from all his years of athletic activities and other kind of trainings, he's the kind of guy who generally earns himself quite a few looks from various girls whenever he's out in public, and though he doesn't flaunt it, he knows it. He has strong, manly features, from his hands to his jaw, and his bright blue eyes contrast with his tan skin tone and his dark brown, almost black hair, which he generally keeps at a short length and styles with gel from time to time. His shaving habits vary, sometimes preferring to keep a closely shaved look whereas other times he'll allow his facial hair to grow a little.
His dressing style is not something he thinks about a whole lot, but he dresses in nice stores because that's where his mother has bought his clothes for the most of his life and so when he got into the habit of getting his own clothes, he just went along with what he was used to. Jeans constitute the biggest part of his wardrobe, and he'll generally pair it up with a clean t-shirt or sometimes a button down shirt, nothing ever extremely fancy but nothing that looks like he's just grabbed something off the floor to throw it on either. He does make sure to keep good hygiene habits, especially with the amount of time he spends working out or playing various sports.
HISTORY
Dylan Charles Walker was born late at night on May 7th 1993 to happy parents Charles and Joanne Walker, in the city of Cary, North Carolina. He was the first and last child to the little family, as Charles had always wanted a boy and so didn't see the point in trying for another kid now that he had one. From early on, he began forming him as everything he wanted him to be, trying to force his own old inspirations on his young son as early as possible. Though he worked in a bank and made good money, he'd always wanted to study to be a doctor, but his parents had refused to help pay for medical school and he hadn't been able to get enough money through scholarships and loans and such to make it past the first year of studies, having to resort to his second choice. He'd also always been a very big sports fan and he'd always known that, if he did have a son, he'd have to be the star of as many of his school teams as was deemed possible.
As such, his unofficial training started very young. He was taught how to swim and skate as a toddler, and several games of baseball and football catch went on in the Walkers backyard as he got a bit older. His school career didn't start out quite as well however, and he was held back as early as first grade, not because he didn't have the smarts to get good grades but because he mostly didn't feel like it, never paying much attention in class and not applying himself when it came to school work - except in his art class, which he seemed to love a lot, and gym. That was nothing to please his father, who knew he'd need to have great grades if he ever planned on getting through medical school, and so study sessions started being imposed at home, as well as punishments enforced whenever he came home with a grade lower than a B. As he got older, the demand for good grades grew higher and he was requested to get As in everything, no matter if he liked it or not. To make sure of it, he was often forbidden from playing games or doing any sort of fun activity with friends if he failed to meet his father's expectations - for his mother didn't particularly agree with those methods, but being a mild, submissive woman, she never said a word about it.
There was nothing his father could do though when Dylan's interest started slowly shifting from sports to art - mostly because, by that point, he was wise enough to not let it show through. From that moment on though, every bit of free time he got was spent sketching on whatever piece of paper he could lay a finger on. Of course, the free time wasn't all that easy to find between his extensive periods of study and all the sports teams he was involved in, not to mention social gatherings and such - because whenever he spent too much time without hanging out with friends his father had plenty of speeches at the ready as to how he shouldn't underestimate what friends or acquaintances could do for him later on in life - but he loved it enough that he was ready to sacrifice a couple of hours of sleep for it. His art teacher could obviously see his interest and talent, suggesting that he take some classes outside of school to develop his skills even more, but knowing how well that suggestion would go over with his father, he declined the offer. He did, however, manage to bring the subject up with his mother at some point, and she was more than happy to assist him whatever way she could, buying supplies and such.
He'd never really counted on being able to pursue his passion of art any further than what he was able to do at home, until his next door neighbor, a girl his age named Zoey whom he'd been hanging out with on and off since they'd been kids, started going to an art boarding school in Kansas City to study music. For the duration of his freshman year, he made researches about the school and tried to find a way to sell it to his father, never quite managing to find anything he might say that would get him to agree. Finally, at the beginning of his sophomore year, he decided that if he didn't give it a try then he definitely wouldn't get in, and he sent in an application without talking to his father about it, until a letter of acceptance came back in, claiming that he'd been accepted on a partial scholarship. That's when he faced his father, spending quite a few hours arguing and debating with him as to how good this school might be for him whereas his father kept on bringing back the fact that they didn't even really have good sports teams, and that he had no business going to an art school in the first place, that art wasn't for guys nor for him. He held his ground though, promising that he had no intention of pursuing a career in the arts, that he was still as focused as ever on medicine and would find plenty of time to keep training and playing sports, not to mention how demanding the academics at the academy were and how many students managed to get into prestidigious colleges after having studied there.
Those arguments did soften up his dad a little, but he still refused to give an answer just yet, claiming he wanted some time to think about it and calling several times at the Academy to ask about the workings of it, how intense the core subject classes were and how good of chances students had to be accepted in big colleges once they graduated. By the end of a week, he grudgingly accepted, saying that his junior year would work as a test and that if he saw he was putting more focus into his art than his other studies, he would not be going back for senior year.
