My dear Addie,
I hope everything is going great for you on the west coast. You have no idea how much we all miss you around here sweetheart. I know you've been moved out of the house for a while now in a way, with your staying at a boarding school, and then getting a place of your own with Connor. But somehow, you were around so often that it truly felt like you still lived home with us through it all. Now, it really does feel like you've been gone ages and everybody around here wishes the year would go by a lot faster.
Collin is asking for you a lot, and every evening he sits himself by the computer, hoping we'll tell him that there's gonna be a Skype call with his big sister tonight. We've left his room unfinished for the time being, the way it was when you had to stop working on it. Patrick asked Collin if he wanted us to have someone come and finish it up, since you've done the main of the work with setting up the mural and all, but he said no with that edge of stubborness that he shares with you. He said nobody else could do as well, and he didn't want someone ruining your work. I would say that child puts you on a pedestal - which, really, he does - but then again he is right. Nobody else can do it as well as you sweetie.
Tamara is doing really well, and she's growing sweeter and cuter with every day that goes by. She reminds me a lot of you, the same energy and big bright eyes. She smiles a lot and she moves around so much that you'd think she's just wanting to roll over on her stomach and crawl. She loves Collin, and he's so good with her. I honestly don't know how I ever got so lucky as to have such amazing children. Your were my first blessing darling, and somehow I've now got two more. And in a few years, I'm sure there'll be grandchildren to think of as well. Though if I can give one advice to you, it's to not rush life. Things will happen when they happen, but enjoy the time you and Connor have together as a couple. Take the time to be just the two of you. You're still so young.
We'll be looking forward to having the two of you home for the holidays. I'm glad to hear things are going well for Connor and everything is the way he hoped it would be. Tell him not to get any ideas though - we expect you back next summer.
Take care of yourself honey. I'll be talking to you soon, and know that we all love and miss you,
Mom
