Dear Zoey,
I'm so pleased to know that your school year is going well even with the increased work load that has come along with it. I remember my Senior year at the Academy and I can only imagine that it has gotten more difficult with time passing and it was no picnic when I was going through it. But you're such a smart and capable young woman that I know you'll do amazing.
I'm also glad to hear that you got all of your college applications turned in by the first of the month as I'd suggested. Come early December your admission letters will come in and then you'll have a choice to make as for where you want to go and while I'll always be rooting for you to move back closer to home, I know that you'll make the right choice as to where you should go with what is going to be best for you.
I'm also so glad that things are going well with Marisol. From what you've told me she seems like a perfectly lovely young lady. Best of all, from what you tell me, she treats you just how you deserve to be treated and sweetie, that's really the only thing that I've ever wanted for you. You're an incredible person with many talents and a great amount of worth and so long as you find someone who will help you to accomplish everything that you want in life, I will always be happy for you. Someday I hope that we might be able to meet this Marisol, but don't feel like you need to rush it. Remember that you're still so young and have plenty of time, enjoy things as they are and take everything one step at a time.
In the mean time, just keep me up to date on everything that is going on. I can't wait to see you for the holidays, sweetie. We all miss you so much and can hardly wait to see you again. So don't be a stranger in writing or calling, I'll always have time for my baby (and yes, you'll still be my baby for a long time still)
I love you so much,
Mom
