Lindsey had spent the last couple of weeks at Val and Vince's house, though she was mainly spending the summer at Dakota's house. Which she had felt bad over at the beginning of the summer, but soon enough she'd just fallen into the groove of things, trying to do as much house work as she could to make sure her presence didn't become too much of a burden. Besides, it wasn't like she could deny that she had needed the help a place to stay - she literally didn't have a home to go back to at any time of the year, and money to rent an apartment just wasn't something that was doable either. As it was, the scholarship she had for the Academy covered everything she needed to have for school, and she was excessively grateful for that, but it didn't leave her with anything extra, and then she was too young to really try and get loans or anything like that. So when Kota had invited her to spend the summer with him, she hadn't been able to hesitate for too long before admitting to herself that she needed to accept his offer - not that the idea of spending the whole summer with her boyfriend wasn't a good one, but just the knowledge that she needed the help.
These past two weeks though, Kota had been gone for a writing camp, and so in the meantime, she had gone across the street to spend time with her other friends. She just felt a bit awkward staying at her boyfriend's house while he wasn't there, and besides, it'd been nice to spend some time with Valerie. She had to admit she was glad to be going back to the Greve household today though, because although the Freeman family was very nice, they were also very loud. Which she figured could be expected from a household of eight, but still, she missed the peace and quiet, and although Kaylie could be very talkative and a bit loud at times, it generally didn't last very long, and it was nothing compared to all of Val and Vince's siblings. She had headed back to Kota's house about the time his parents had left to go pick him up, spending a bit of time with Kaylie as she got her things ready to cross the street for a sleepover with Dania, and by the time the little girl had gone, she knew it wouldn't be too long until her boyfriend returned with his parents - which she was definitely looking forward to. Two weeks was a lot longer than it seemed.
