The past week had been... interesting to say the least. Mel hadn't been acting noticeably different for the untrained eye, but Jess could definitely tell there was something going on in her brain that she wasn't willing to share and it obviously had to do with Olivier - who, it turns out, was avoiding their group like the plague. Of course, Mel was rejecting any and every hypothetical situation where it was due to the fact that he was upset with her for having walked out on him after having sex and then ignoring his call and texts the next day, because that would mean he probably cared about and was hurt over her just sneaking out while he was in the bathroom, and Mel didn't want to admit that the French guy liked her. Which, Jess honestly couldn't comprehend how she was missing it, because it was so painfully obvious with the looks he kept throwing her, which were a mix of frustration and yearning, and she was starting to wonder if Amanda's suggestion to lock them up in a closet together might be the only way to go, but they'd ruled out that potential plan after realizing that the odds of them talking at that point would be slim to none.
Something told her that whole situation was also the reason why Porter was currently on his way to her room, because according to him, Olivier hadn't been doing much outside of his room for the past couple of weeks - and if that wasn't proof enough for Mel that there was something more going on than him just being done with her now that they'd had sex, she didn't know what could be. It seemed like a bit of a hopeless case really, and Mands was going even more crazy over it than she was, but at this point she didn't really see what else could be done. They were two people very much infatuated with one another, but they were also excessively stubborn. Sighing and shaking her head a bit as she texted Amanda one last time on the subject before telling her she'd talk to her later as Porter would be over soon, receiving a response almost right away and deciding not to dignify it with a response as she turned off her phone and put it on her bedside table, sitting on her bed and leaning back against the headboard. She'd told Porter to come right in since Brooke was out, and for some reason she felt a bit more anxious than usual as she waited for him to arrive.
