Aidan had never felt quite this way in his life before. He didn't feel nervous, not at all - there was nothing to be scared or worried about when it came to the thought of marrying Mandy. It was, after all, all he'd wanted for so long now and he knew she wanted it just as much, so there was no doubt in his mind that this would be a perfect day. No, he didn't feel nervous, but he did feel anxious and happy and elated and just... he had a hard time believing it was actually happening. Four years in the making, four years since he'd met her when she was just a Freshman at the Academy, and he could never have thought it would go this far at that point. He distinctively remembered seeing her across the school lawn on the first day of school, noting all the things about her that looked nice and thinking it might be a good idea to talk to her. And when he'd gotten the opportunity to, he'd only found her all the more attractive. And today he was finally getting to marry her, to promise to her and to the rest of the world that he was committing to her for the rest of his life, to love her, make her happy, protect her and take care of her in any and every way possible. And he couldn't wait for it.
In many ways, he knew their relationship in itself wouldn't be affected a lot by their being married - they were already living together, had been for a little over a year now though officially only since this summer. They talked to each other about important decisions and made them together, and they already had a very enjoyable sex life. Not so much for the past couple of weeks, as for one thing they'd both been busy with all the last minute things, and for another something told him it was Mandy's way of making their wedding night special even though it wouldn't be their first time, which he figured made sense because boy was he eager to finally make love of his fiancee - no, wife - again. And then of course, she'd spent the night before at the same hotel her parents were staying at, which was probably one of the reasons - on top of the excitement - why he hadn't slept so well the night before, but it didn't matter right now. Tapping his fingers a bit impatiently against his knee as he sat in the room he'd been getting ready in, waiting to be told it was time to go and shaking his head a bit at Lijah's teasing, returning it right back to him - the other guy hadn't exaclty been calm and composed while waiting for the moment he'd be able to see his bride either.
