Henry had just about had it with this whole distance thing and not being able to see his girlfriend for another month when he hadn't seen her since August - and only for a very short time, as he'd been able to fit in a quick visit to Kansas City between her return to the Academy and the beginning of his classes at college. Unfortunately, his school didn't have a fall break, and she had had to go home during hers, so the soonest he'd been able to plan to see her was over Thanksgiving. But the night before, he'd come to the decision that that just didn't sit right by him anymore. It may or may not have been influenced by the fact that Anna had sent him a very interesting picture to say the least, but something in his mind had just snapped, and he hadn't wanted to wait to see her any longer. As such, he'd checked his account to make sure he had a good enough amount of money in there to cover gas, food and possibly a last minute hotel booking for the weekend, and he'd gone to bed with his mind made up that he would see his girlfriend the very next day.
He decided not to tell her, getting in his car and filling it up before going on his way to do the eight hour drive between Dallas and Kansas City. If his timing was right, with minimal stopping, he'd made it there right about the time that she would get out of classes, so she wouldn't have to wonder why he wasn't answering her texts or anything like that. Getting a few of them throughout the day, as he normally did when she went from one class to the other or during lunch time, and responding whenever he wasn't actually driving. Making it to the school with about ten minutes to spare as he parked his car in the visitors' parking lot, leaving the duffel bag he'd packed in about five minutes in there for the time being and locking the doors after getting out. Making his way over to the entrance of the main school building, hoping she would actually take advantage of her free time period and not stick around the library or something like that until dinner time, but knowing his girlfriend, it was a lot more likely that she would want to get out of there as fast as possible.
