Jess was practically bouncing as she made her way over to her English Literature class with her group of friends. It was Friday, the very last Friday before Winter break, and she was definitely excited about it - about no more classes for almost a whole month, no homework, not studying, nothing. Of course, it also meant no Porter, no kissing, no touching and no nothing for that aspect of her life as well, which sucked a whole lot more and she'd probably stop bouncing right away if she stopped long enough to think about it, but for the time being, she was too eager about getting out of her last class of her day to focus on that too much. She could tell she wasn't the only one to feel like this, either - there was just a different energy buzzing around the halls right now, as if the word break was being whispered every other word by everyone around her. And really, it wasn't that she didn't like school or anything like that, especially when it came to the Academy - that was pretty much the most bearable kind of education anyone could get. But time off would do everyone some good, and even the best of schools didn't compare to a nice long break, as far as she was concerned.
Besides, her flight wasn't until next Tuesday morning, which she'd informed Porter off, making sure to let him know she planned on spending a lot of time with him before she had to go home, and that she would try to do so in a very interesting manner, which he had seemed to appreciate. His own afternoon was bound to go by a lot faster than hers though, seeing as she'd be stuck in her English Lit class for two hours, and then languages for another two, whereas he would be doing his film stuff for three hours and then have free period and be able to go off and do whatever he wanted. So she'd made sure, upon parting ways with him after lunch, after Mel and Oli had distanced themselves a little and Amanda was busy saying her own goodbyes to Jade for the afternoon, to give him a good enough incentive to look forward to this evening that his free hour would probably seem to stretch for as long as her own last hour of class. Not the nicest move ever, but she was pretty sure she'd be able to make up for it tonight. Taking her usual seat in class next to Mands and behind Mel, setting her notebook and pens out on her desk and sighing a bit as she glanced at the clock on the wall. Four hours, three minutes to go.
