Melanie was not happy. Actually, it was a bit of an understatement. When Porter had broken up with Jessica right before break, she had pushed aside her anger at the guy and instead had focused on trying to make her best friend feel better. Not an easy task, considering the fact that the girl was in love with him and it was right before Christmas to boot, so she had to like try and divide her time between giving Jess some space and some comfort and spending some time with Oli before she went home for break. Luckily, her boyfriend didn't really begrudge her the fact that she needed to take care of her best friend. But she and Amanda had sort of taken turns switching off before they left, so that they could both help their friend in her time of need and spend time with their significant other without having to ditch Jessica either. Honestly, she'd sort of been hoping that going home would be good for Jess and that when she came back she might be doing a bit better. Not completely better, of course, a broken heart couldn't be healed overnight.
Still, the girl had come back not any better than when she'd left and after talking to Amanda about it, they'd decided that it just wasn't okay for this to continue on and for Porter to get off scotch free. So, they'd both made the decision that they were going to do a bit of 'talking' to him about what the hell his problem was. Oli had understandably decided that he was going to stay out of it since he had to room with Porter for the rest of the year. At least he hadn't told them to stay out of it, although he had warned that he didn't think it would turn out to be anything good. So, they'd picked a time when Oli was going to be out to head over to the dorm that he shared with the other guy. Pounding on the door and waiting for Porter to open, seeing him do so and look at the two of them. "We're supposed to meet Oli here," she told the Senior who looked like he was going to argue it. Although Amanda pushed past him and into the room. "Oh look, he's not here yet. Guess we'll have to wait for him." She looked around and headed over to sit on Oli's bed. Which Melanie nodded and agreed with, though still standing in front of him until he rolled his eyes and muttered something about it being fine and headed over to his desk again.
