PERSONALITY
The way to describe Elijah is simple and to the point. He's laid-back, exceptionally extroverted. He tends to stay away from drama and the people who cause it and applies that rule to the world around him. People who first look at him and judge him, often see him as lazy. That’s not the case. He’s extremely active in sports and he knows that being placed in a school like GPA is a great honor. Especially with the lack of funds he has. So he works as hard as he can to maintain scholarships and grants given to him. Optimism is a big part of his personality, he believes anything and everything can exist within the world that was created for him. Although he knows that good does not always prevail over evil, he likes to hope that someday it will.
He’s incredibly ambitious, he aims to be the next big thing. Except for he wants to use his fame for good. For example, promoting help for all misfortunes of the world. Whether it’s for starving children in Africa, or keeping the tigers and polar bears off the brink of extinction, he wants to promote it through his fame. He’s been known to have a big ego. Of course, his self-esteem level is through the roof, but not enough to be exceedingly annoying. He can usually stop himself if he’s on the verge of becoming pig-headed. Very quiet, some often mistake him for a troublemaker, because of the clothes he wears and the way he carries himself. Chatting is one thing he’s always had trouble with, being social. If people don’t approach him, he usually won’t approach them, he keeps his circle of friends but that about all. Honesty is one thing that he prides himself in, he finds no need to lie, unless it’s necessary. Protecting his friends or family, or saving a secret that someone entrusted him with are usually the only exception to that rules, but there’s always an exception to an exception. But he’s a very sincere person, and he surrounds himself with those people, and expects the same courtesy returned to him. He cares for the feelings of others, but often doesn’t monitor the things he says before he says them. If he feels like it’s the right boat to float on he does just that.
But let’s not be fooled. Do no let his good-natured side get the best of you. He does not like being walked over, and if crossed, he doesn’t forget it. He has many buttons, but when the wrong one is pushed, all hell breaks loose. He’s very over protective of his siblings and his closest friends, mess with them, it’s like messing with him, and that’s one thing he will have no problem pounding someone in the face for. Though he tends to avoid fights, if it calls for one, he won’t back down, but usually he just walks away. And he never throws the first hit. Try if you may he’s not easily provoked, and he usually throws verbal blows instead of physical ones. He has a mind and he tends to use it instead of his fist.
His outlook on music is simple. It’s his life. It’s all he knows, all he wants to do with his existence is make people happy through his music. Though he has other skills, vocational ones are his best. He loves to sing.
APPEARANCE
Elijah is incredibly handsome, despite his scruffy appearance. Standing at a height of 6’2’’, he usually towers over anyone he’s close enough to. His clothing styles is not inflexible, he usually wears whatever he wants. Whether it be jeans and a t-shirt with flip-flops or a sweater and collared shirt with a tie, and loafers. Although the one thing he finds himself wearing often, maybe too often, are jeans. He usually goes without washing his hair for days at a time, so it doesn’t always seem touchable, but it’s still amazing. Sometimes he lets it grow out and sometimes he gets it cut so it’s easier to maintain. It depends on the weather(;D ). It’s usually untamable, except when he gels it up into a faux-hawk(usually only on special occasions). Straight out of the shower his hair tends to take a wavy form, making him look girlish, but it doesn’t phase him. Usually if his hair is grown out, he has a few pieces of ungraspable hair that fall into his face.
He has dark brown eyes that often change to hazel or green, and take on a gray-ish tint with the glint of the sun. They’re not very big but distinct enough to stop a crowd of girls from miles away. And even more when paired with his crooked grin that he often wears. Habitually of course, it just comes naturally. Underneath it all, he has an amazing body, acquired from all the hard work and sports he grew up playing. Soccer, football, lacrosse, baseball…and the list goes on and on. You name it and chances are he’s already tried it. His abs are rock hard, and often drooled over by the ladies(which only adds to his ego). Thin, pouty lips grace his features, and add to the delectable face.
HISTORY
Ever since Elijah was a little boy he’d been singing. Starting at the age of four, he could hum songs after listening to them once, and singing them after listening to them a couple more times. His mother had been a successful music teacher and she prided herself in the fact that her children would grow up under the influence of music. His father was a pianist. Elijah learned to play piano from his dad, starting at the age of five, and guitar from his mother, starting at the age of 7. And he'll teach his little sisters Clara and Tristan to do the same. There was no doubt in his mind, by the time he’d reached his adolescent years, that he wanted nothing more but to be a musician.
And so he pursued that career, following in some of the greatest musical minds known to human existence. The Beatles, who influenced his type of music, we’re the musicians his parents played the most. Along with the Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson, AC/DC, Guns n’ Roses, Bon Jovi, and the list goes on into infinity. Primarily the school that he went to throughout his younger years was a magnet school, specializing in performing arts. So this influenced his career as well. To live out his high school years, Elijah decided that he’d like to go to a prestigious school, where the success rate of graduates was high. And so he researched along with the help of his family and friends, and he found the one he wanted to go to. Gordon Parks Academy. The only trouble, was the intuition. Though countless donations from friends, neighbors and family who believed in him, along with scholarships and grants paid his way for three years, and he was beyond ecstatic about it.
So he packed up his gear and necessities and was shipped off to his new home away from home. Hoping to meet new people, even if he had to jump outside of his comfort zone, he was ready to pursue his dreams and start there in Kansas City. But on his way there he suffered through a traumatic accident. The truck he had been road tripping in with his father had been pushed off the road by semi and they pummeled to the ground. Ethan, his father, didn’t make it out alive, but Elijah did. His strength and will to live for his family and his dream over powered death and he struggled through months of stress and therapy to get back to his old self. Unfortunately, he’d been scarred, and now has this continuous dream that refuses to go away. And it’s a very horrifying dreams. But soon he made his way to his dream school and settled in like nothing had ever happened, although the loss of his father still haunted his daydreams. There was nothing standing in his way now, and he never let anything stand in his way. He as going to stick with it, in honor of his father and his own dream. Now a junior in the school, he’s loosened up a bit and has made time for friends and even girlfriends. But he knows where his heart is and he keeps a level-head. His organization allows him to balance his education with his social life. And he’s hoping to make more memories along the way. The rest of his history, will be paved in with the new school year…only time will tell…
ROLE PLAYING SAMPLE
The distant sounds of blood curdling screams, that could chill anyone at any moment, could be heard in the distance. Not only was he petrified, but Elijah was curious. Curious as to why the noises were so prominent, so bold in a sense. The sounds were ripping at his insides, to the point where he was feeling the shouting as his own pain. He desperately wanted to call out, wanted to help this person in agony. And so he quickened his pace, still making sure to remain absolutely quiet, completely graceful. One small noise, one small mistake that was out of character for the creepy, abandoned place, could mean death in an instant. Hell, he didn't even know if their were people watching him. The current tunes blasting into his ear were not welcomed ones. Shouts of pain and strife. Someone was hurting, badly, and Elijah was falling right into the trap. Careful, Elijah, curiosity killed the cat... The voice came as a surprise, and Elijah instantly became alert, looking around through the darkness. But the voice wasn't speaking from the shadowy depths of the room...they were coming from the shadowy depths of his mind.
"AaaaAAAAAAH!" Elijah screamed, dropping to his knees as the pain of a thousand daggers shot through his body. Stinging him to the core, like someone had just pumped two-thousand watts of electricity through his body. His heart began to race, his head shifting in his grasp as his screams became louder...more prominent...bolder. His blood was racing, blood cells racing at the speed of light. And he was sweltering, hot, steaming. One hand clutching his head and the other one gripping his chest over his heart, Elijah slumped forward. Excruciating shock after excruciating shock, blasting through his chest, through his veins, in his blood. And as he screamed out, a howl of anguish and torment escaping his lips, he slumped over completely.
Elijah bolted up from the pillows of his bed, looking around, alert to attack anything that moved. He relaxed, however, when he noticed the Guitar Hero controllers strewn on his floor. He flipped off the covers, and looked down at his legs. They were vibrating, evolving as his entire body shook with an unknown force that was terrifying to no ends. It looked as if a bunch of pill bugs were crawling around under his skin. Thousa--no--millions of them sliding underneath around under his growing coat of...fur? A frightful scream echoed, bouncing off the walls of the room, and for the second time that night, he bolted up this time flipping the covers immediately and inspecting his skin vigorously. His hands slowed on his face, the moisture that had beaded on his forehead wiping off into his hands. As he sat gasping and panting for air, Elijah realized something. This dream, this horrible dream that he’d had for years now, was never going to end, until he fixed it.
