Jayson's thoughts soared as he made his way across the grounds, his final year at Gordon Parks'; it was hard to believe that four years ago he thought himself destined for public school. It was a fairly warm day, the sun was bright overhead and the trees swayed in the light breeze that ran across the campus. The sounds of birds, bees, and cars filled the air as Jayson cut across the grounds, just looking around at his home away from home of four years. Shadows cast by the trees that littered the campus scurried to and fro in the breeze as leaves danced across the sidewalks.
The sun heated Jayson's tan skin and he pulled off his t-shirt to expose the white wife beater underneath. Crossing the grass, he swung his backpack from his shoulder and leaned it against the trunk of a large tree. The shade of the old tree cooled his warm skin and made Jayson feel even more content than before. Senior year, he thought with a satisfied sigh as he sat down on the damp grass. It was hard to believe that he wouldn't be coming back here next year, everyone would be off doing other things, starting one of the most important chapters of their lives.
Running a hand through his blonde hair, Jayson leaned casually against the tree. The rough bark clawed at the exposed skin of his neck and as he searched the branches above him they waved back down, performing their merry dance in the wind. He simply stayed that way for a moment, basking in the nice weather, but soon Jayson began rummaging through his backpack and pulling out a worn, tattered notebook. The old composition notebook had suffered a lot of damage over the years, the water and dirt stains showed on the edges of the pages.
Jayson pulled out his pen from the pocket of his jeans and thought for a moment. He was working on his latest film idea and was trying to find the right inspiration; Jayson put the pen to the paper and began to write:
"To Be Announced"
