PERSONALITY
Lila is someone who wears her heart on her sleeve every day. Her emotions change quickly because of this little fact and even the smallest things can be a cause for change to happen. If she's feeling any type of emotion everyone around her is going to know it. She doesn't believe in hiding what she's feeling and often works on her emotion of the time instead of logic. Of course that leads her to get into some trouble with people that she tends to regret later but nothing has happened yet that has seriously made her reconsider how she acts and probably until something does she'll continue to act the way that she does and without shame either.
She has a few friends that stick by her even with her unpredictable moods because they do care about her but most people usually end up getting turned off by the fact that they never know what kind of person she's going to be the next time they talk to her. Most of her friends will agree that it's probably a good thing for her that she doesn't get mood swings around her period either, since most of them wouldn't be able to take it. And all of her friends do have to let her know when she gets out of line or she wouldn't stop acting like she does either.
Despite the fact that she often works on emotion alone, Lila also has a very strong sense of intuition and can pretty easily sense when something is wrong with a person and she can often help people out with their problems before they escalate into huge mishaps, of course that's if she's in the mood to do so. If the person who needs help or advice is someone that she considers a friend she can usually try and put her own feelings aside for a moment to help them out but if not she'll usually go on with whatever she was feeling without too much of a care how it is affecting other people. For that reason a lot of people think of her as self centered but she doesn't see it that way. If she isn't friends with someone why should it be her job to help them out? That's what their own friends are for.
Most of the time, she enjoys being at the center of attention and does quite well in large groups of people. She doesn't have a need to constantly be in the middle of things but at the same time she likes to be included and have the option to go some place even if she doesn't actually think that she'll do so. She is a bit indecisive and therefore will usually change her mind some number of times before she actually chooses what she's going to do which makes options kind of a nightmare when put into her hands but at the same time it makes them a bit essential as well because only having one doesn't do her well either.
APPEARANCE
Lila is by far the shortest one in her family, standing at only five foot one inch tall and it isn't exactly something that she enjoys but that is perhaps the only thing that she has to complain about her looks. She is a naturally slim girl with a high metabolism, she has dark brown eyes, a clear complexion and dark curly hair that she has recently taken to keeping short. On occasion she'll straighten it out but for the most part she tends to prefer the curls.
Most of the clothes that Lila wears are those that she's made herself. She likes a lot of color to be present in her wardrobe and is never content with just different shades of the same. She prefers to use bright colors and a lot to make herself stand out - though she knows when to draw a line and doesn't use anything that could be blinking. Her wardrobe also has a good variety of different lengths of clothes, she's got things for the hottest summer days and for the absolute coldest winter nights because of where she grew up. Still she manages to make it all interesting with her different uses of attention getting color and print.
As for accessories there always has to be some for her. She always has at least a few pieces of different jewelry on and usually has one of just about every type worked somewhere in her outfit. She enjoys using lots of different belts and scarves to liven up her outfits although she hasn't ever been big on hats. Shoes are another favorite of hers and she owns quite a few pairs which she loves to mix and match with different outfits to see which ones will best pop.
HISTORY
Lila Christine Weber was born to parents Evan and Ella Weber on October 30, 1992 in Olympia, Washington. She was born to the couple after they'd already been trying to have a child for about three years and so they were extremely excited to finally welcome the small girl into their life. They lived in Olympia until she was about the age of five before they ended up moving up to Fairbanks, Alaska of all places. Evan had taken a job as an ice road trucker, which was quite a dangerous job but still one that had appealed greatly to him and Ella had supported his choice reluctantly. The transition to Fairbanks from Olympia wasn't an easy one for Ella, who had left behind most of her friends and family to help Evan be able to follow the dream that he'd always wanted. On top of the lack of having people around that she knew, Ella also had to find herself a new job and learn how to deal with the drastic temperatures of the city. The move was probably the start of real tension between Evan and Ella and it was a tension that would just grow to increase.
The only real thing that Ella ever had to take comfort in was sewing, which was always something that she had done. Even as a young child Lila was always fascinated by the work that her mother did and the clothes that she made were always her favorite to wear. She run around in whatever new thing that her mom had made and pretend that she was a model. As she grew a bit older she started gaining actual interest in making the clothes, being able to come up with ideas of the types of things that she wanted made and how she wanted them to look. So Ella taught Lila, who seemed to be a natural at it. Soon enough she was making her own unique creations (with a little bit of help from Ella sometimes at the more complicated things) and wearing them around, getting compliments from her friends and sometimes even different requests.
At age twelve Lila's world would be a drastically changed one. Her parents had fought a lot, it was something that she knew as a universal truth and just accepted never thinking anything more of it than that. Though one night when she was spending the night at her friend Ashley's house the biggest fight between her parents happened. Ella had had enough, enough of a husband who was hardly around because he was constantly off on some job where he day and night risked his life, enough of not being close to her friends or family, enough of her crappy job and enough of Fairbanks unbearable weather. Evan ended up leaving to go drive around and cool off for a bit, figuring that his wife just needed a bit of time to cool off before they could sort things out, even sleeping at a hotel. Apparently he'd been wrong. When he arrived back home a few hours later he found Lila sitting on the front porch step as if waiting for someone to get home. Apparently Ella hadn't answered the door when the girl had knocked on it, entering the house they found that Ella had packed up her stuff and left. The last he would hear from his wife would be the divorce papers that would come not even a month later in the mail.
Following Ella's leaving, Evan found himself another job so that he could be around more for Lila not wanting her to lose both of her parents. Still, it was easy for even Lila to see that her father was unhappy. For a while she herself stopped making things as a form of resentment toward her mother and the way that she'd abandoned her but eventually she couldn't help but start up again. Making clothes was just something that she loved too much to stop doing just because it reminded her of her mother. As she got a bit older she decided that fashion was what she wanted to do with her life and she started looking for different places that she could go and study it. There were a couple of schools in Alaska but none that seemed to be what she was looking for, it was while she was online searching about randomly that she discovered Gordon Parks'. She liked the school and what she read about it and couldn't wait to submit her application to the academy. She did so and was ecstatic to find that she'd gotten in with full scholarship.
Then came the hard part, having to tell her father about it. The man reacted the exact way that she thought he was going to, feeling hurt and against the idea. Evan had been clinging onto Lila ever since Ella had left and the thought of her being away from him for so long each year felt a bit like she was abandoning him as well. It'd taken a lot of talking with her father to get him to see that she wasn't going so that she could leave him or be far away from him, no, she was going because she wanted to do more with her fashion and try and make it her future. After promising that she'd call him often, visit during every break that she could and e-mail him quite a bit he finally agreed and Lila left the harsh climate of Fairbanks to head to Kansas City.
