PERSONALITY
Christian, at first sight, would look to most people like your typical bad boy, and in his head, that's what he is too. He gave himself that kind of a behavior and personality years ago, maybe because he felt he was lacking something and wanted to search for his identity, maybe because it seemed fun to him, or maybe just because, at the end of the day, he is a bit of a rebel. Having grown without a father figure, he had to improvise and rely on what he saw of other people's fathers, or even of men on tv and in the medias, as to what qualities and such he deemed necessary to be a man. With the amount of one night stands his mother brought home, it wasn't very hard to find a variety of personalities he might have wanted to go for, but at the end of the day, one of them stuck out more.
He deems hismelf a ladies' man, and he isn't entirely wrong either - though his charmers' skills are well under-developped, he's never had a problem with finding very willing girls. He doesn't really believe in love, having never witnessed it himself, but boy does he believe in the power of lust, and seeks it frequently at that. He's very stubborn, though he calls it determination, and when he wants something, he has to get it - even if to get it, he's the one who has to play hard to get. He never gives in or admits to a fault, even when he knows perfectly well that he actually is wrong, he'll change the subject or decide it's unimportant rather than give in to the fact that he's wrong, which tends to get him to be rather unliked by some people, but he's done a good enough job at convincing himself that other people are of no importance to him.
At the end of the day though, it's mostly just a façade to make sure not to let anyone in - the partying and getting drunk every week, the smoking, the sleeping around, it's all a made up character, and his real self is something that can only be seen through his interactions with his little sisters, because around them, he's about as tough as a gooey marshmallow. One thing he doesn't let his rebellion act affect, also, is his grades. Though he's not known to have the best behavior in class, his academics and education take top one importance to him, because he wants to make something of himself and give his sisters a better life. He's an extremely hard worker, and whatever goal he sets his mind to, he achieves. In spite of the snarky and arrogant remarks he's wont to make, the moodiness and sometimes anger issues he deals with, he really just is a normal kid with a strong desire to succeed.
APPEARANCE
Christian takes his looks mostly from his dad, whom he's barely ever known in spite of the fact that he bears his name. With his deeply tanned skin, short cropped black hair and shining black eyes (whether it's from a planned prank, alcohol or lust), his looks represent his mexican heritage far beyond his part caucasian, part native american one, but he's never had a problem with that, because he'd rather resemble an absent father than a lousy mother. He stands tall, reaching a height of 6 feet, which he often uses to his advantage when flirting, allowing himself to tower over his flings and interests, looking down at them with a look in his eyes that is enough to make them shiver with anticipation as to what he has planned.
His body is very athletic, due to the fact that he works out frequently and goes for a jog every day, along with his martial arts classes which he's been taking up ever since he was a little kid. He takes great care of himself, both health wise and appearance wise, because he's admittingly a tad superficial, both as to people he's attracted to and as to his own looks, and losing his well defined abs or biceps is not something he wants to happen, so he makes the necessary sacrifices to keep in good health and shape. As for his style, he doesn't exactly follows trends, but he does like to look good, and so he picks clothes in consequence. If he gets them half price, all the best, but if he has to pay full price for one good pair of jeans that makes him look particularly great, he will.
HISTORY
Nita Clarkson was eighteen, having just graduated high school, when she decided to take a year off to go travel the world. Her travels didn't go very far, barely getting past the border that separated Mexico from the United States, when she met Diego Sanchez in the city of Matamoros and instantly fell in love - or at least, that's what she told herself. They hit it off quickly, and merely two months later she moved in with him. Money was no object, her wealthy parents having passed when she was a little, and now that she'd reached the age of eighteen, she'd been given access to twenty five percent of her trust fund, and so she started living in Mexico with her 'soulmate', never bothering to look for a job or anything of the sort. Three months later, she learnt she was pregnant. Diego reacted in the perfect manner, assuring her that he would support her, that he would find a better job than the one he currently occupied as a barman and that he'd help to pay for the child, that they would move into a house some day soon and have a good life, the three of them together as a little family. Obviously, she believed him, and for a few years, he kept his word.
Christian Emilio Sanchez was born early in the morning of May 28th, 1992, instantly becoming his father's pride merely with the fact that he was a boy - truth was, had he been a girl, Diego surely would have disappeared much sooner, but as it was, he stuck around for two seemingly happy years, until Nita turned twenty one, receiving access to another thirty five percent of her parents' money. The next morning, her bank account was empty and Diego was gone. Heartbroken and literally broken, Nita sold all that she could to buy a bus ticket back to Columbus, Mississippi, where the aunt and uncle that had raised her lived and whom she had barely contacted in three years. They were shocked, and mildly upset, when they she arrived on their doorstep, four suitcases around her and a sleeping two year old boy in her arms, but they took her in anyway, under condition that she would go back to college, get a part time job and that, once the final forty percent of her trust funds was given to her, she would put the greater amount of it in a savings account to which she would have no access. She agreed to the terms, and in a few weeks, she and Christian were settled in a much happier and healthier lifestyle than the one they'd been living back in Mexico.
Nita did her best to adjust to the difference of life, but she was definitely missing the freedom she'd enjoyed in Mexico, among other things - she'd developed quite a few bad habits down there that were not very well condoned among her family, and she had to do without the alcohol, cigarettes and partying she'd grown to love. Within two years, it'd become too much, and she ran from Columbus with Christian, quitting college and cashing in the postdated checks her aunt and uncles had given her for the later payments, along with the little money she'd made with her part time job. She had plans of moving to Los Angeles, not having much talent to make it in the industry out there, but not caring about that - what she wanted was the wild life. Again, she never made it to her goal - her car broke down in Durant, Oklahoma, and she fell for the mechanic who fixed it. It wasn't much of a relationship, merely a fling of two weeks before she was back on the road, but she'd only made it to Arizona when she realized that she was, again, pregnant. She decided to temporarily settle in Sedona, getting herself a waitressing job and finding a cheap, one bedroom apartment, and during her pregnancy, she met yet another man, one who swore he'd take care of her, Christian, and the baby on the way like it was his own, and once again, her naive trust proved her a fool when, two months after Brittany Kayla Jackson was born - for she'd given her daughter his name - he left with her car, tv and credit card, with which he managed to spend near two thousand dollars before she cancelled it.
From that moment on, she gave up trust in men. It didn't stop her from sleeping around still, though, and by the time Christian was eight, Savannah Chloe joined the little, highly dysfunctional family. Nita had never been much of a mother to either of her younger kids, but Savannah got the worse of it, and Christian, only a kid still, had to take over while his mother was off to get drunk and high most week nights that she didn't work - and even at such a young age, he was well aware that one of her reasons she even still had a place to live was because of the bi-monthly visits she payed to their tenant. He grew up to be a very closed up boy, except around his sisters, and the one focus he maintained was school . He loved to read and learn, in spite of the little encouragement he got from his mother, actually only got mockery and spite from her as to how school wouldn't ever get him anywhere anyway - just look at her. He didn't listen though, and he did his best to help Savannah and Brittany develop their own liking of learning, reading them books, helping them with their homework, doing his best to show that he was there for them even if their mother wasn't. Even at such a young age, he acted like a parent to them.
He was eleven when Nita decided she'd had enough of Sedona though, packing up everything they owned without a notice, putting it in a rented trailed and heading off on her way to a new 'job' opportunity after picking Christian up from school one random evening. They ended up in Las Vegas. By then, Christian had had enough, and he started making plans for his life that definitely did not include his mother. He started working even harder in the new school he was sent to, bringing his grades higher up than they'd been before, because he knew exactly where he was headed, even at such a young age - he was gonna work as soon as he could, save up money, go to college on a scholarship, become a doctor, and within that, as soon as he'd be able to, he'd take Brittany and Savannah away with him and never look back. An unexpected factor mixed itself up within those plans though, when he was made to pick an extra curricular activity, and he chose music because it was the only one on the list that didn't seem entirely boring. That's when he fell in love - but not with a girl, no. With a violin.
His passion grew overnight, and his skills developed so fast that his teacher declared she'd never seen such talent. He kept on practicing hard every night while his mother was out partying or working, both of which were usually done in the same club, playing for the girls before they went to bed, and soon he'd mastered the instrument in a way that was quite uncommon and definitely faster than most. That's when his teacher handed over a few booklets about several high schools across the country that might help him learn even more about his passion while getting a great education. At first, he didn't even consider them, knowing that there was no way he could leave his sisters behind with their mother, but it was Savannah, in all of her young age and innocence, that pushed him to go, telling him that he needed to get a good education to get even better, but that he had to promise to come back to get them once he graduated. After many lengthy inner debates, he decided to apply, soon getting a letter of acceptance on a full scholarship, and he left with many promises of coming back as often as he could, leaving Brittany in charge and making sure to send her money every month so that she'd be able to buy some good food and new clothes when they'd need to.
