PERSONALITY
Kendall is an extremely laid back person. She doesn't believe in stressing herself out over anything and therefore avoids things that she knows will hold the temptation to stress her out or frustrate her. She believes that everything happens for a reason and is a big believer in fate even though she isn't really religious per say. She's mellow and clam and it takes quite a big stir to change that. And although many people would accuse her of having her head up in the clouds she really is extremely observant and can point out a lot of smaller details that most people would be likely to miss. And when it comes down to making decisions she is never hesitant to go with her gut instinct on something.
It isn't often that people make a lot of positive comments about Kendall, despite the fact that she is extremely kind to everyone that she meets. Most people just happen to think that she's a bit weird and she probably doesn't do much to help with the image either. With her bag full of art supplies that she always carries around, her vegan lifestyle and yoga classes she doesn't exactly send out the best signal of normal. Luckily, Kendall has never cared too much about what other people have said about her. Most of the time when she does hear someone say something about her she tries her best to ignore it even though eventually it does all take a toll on her.
She doesn't tend to make friends very easily because of her oddities but she tries her best to do so anyway. She doesn't quite fit into any of the party scenes but she'll usually go anyway if she gets the chance. She isn't afraid to start a conversation with the person sitting next to her or standing nearby even though it's easy to tell that not a lot of people particularly enjoy her doing so. It takes a lot for her to dislike someone. She puts up with a lot of comments and attitudes from people without showing that she does so.
APPEARANCE
Kendall is often described as a perfect mixture of both of her parents. She is short like her mother, standing at only 5'1". She is also incredibly thin naturally like her mom. She gets her dirty blonde hair from her dad as well as a lot of her features. Her hair is naturally wavy and she prefers to leave it that way, also keeping it in a longer style most of the time. Her long hair often falls into her bright blue-green eyes that never quite seem focused entirely on something. She never quite seems to notice the hair there though and leaves it there until someone else points it out. The only exception being when she is doing her art, then she pulls her hair back and completely out of the way.
Her clothing style is a very loose and filled with a lot of Earth tones. Most of her clothes aren't bought new but from thrift shops instead. Her shirts tend to be long, most reaching down to mid thigh at the very least and could probably be dresses on some other people. She pairs all of her shirts with blue jeans that she'll be seen drawing on whenever she gets bored with whatever she happens to have with her. Also paired with her outfits are simple, cheap, white shoes that she decorates as the year goes by with Sharpies.
HISTORY
Kendall Audrey Miller was born at 4:53 A.M. on March 23, 1993 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the second child to be born to mother Krystal Grant but the first for father Lucas Miller. Krystal had been afraid at first that the other 20 year old would run out on her like the father of her first child had done and she knew there would be no way for her to raise a child alone. Though the thought of having to give up another child for adoption was extremely painful. Lucas however, was a far better man than the first guy had been and decided to take responsibility for his actions, sticking around to help raise the small baby girl with Krystal.
Life hasn't been the easiest for the small family. Both Lucas and Krystal had to take up more hours at their low paying jobs and even started working a few odd jobs to try and gain money for the family. They lived - and still do - in a small apartment with very few things that aren't necessities. They scarped by with what they needed and that was all that they could ask for. Despite their lack of physical possessions to pass on to their child, they gave her all the love and support that they were able to and tried to give her as many experiences that they possibly could so that she would never have to be unhappy because of their financial position.
Kendall's imagination was her biggest toy and source of amusement. The thing that she loved the most was drawing and she was the happiest when she had a notebook in front of her. She'd fly through the pages, making pictures with whatever she had nearest to her whether it be crayons, markers, pencils or pens. It was her way of letting out the huge imagination that she carried. As long as she had that much she was incredibly happy and never felt like she was lacking a single thing. In fact, it wasn't until school started that she realized that she was missing anything. As a small child it bugged her a bit but as she grew older she grew not to care about it.
The thing that she loved the most about school was the art classes that she got to take as soon as she entered it. It was her favorite thing to do and in elementary she'd often as her teacher if she could stay after school to be able to do a bit more of her art. In middle school it wasn't any different, she'd stay after school and both work more and learn more about art from her art teacher. She even started spending her lunch hours in the art room to be able to work a bit more. It was her escape and both Lucas and Krystal supported her in it. Her art became the decoration around the apartment and it was a source of pride for both of her parents.
During one of the after school sessions when she was 13 she would learn to discover something else about herself. Another girl that she'd come to be friends with because she often spend a lot of time in the art room invited her over to her house to spend the night. Kendall agreed to do so and was surprised when she ended up doing a bit more innocent experimenting with the other girl that she actually liked it. She went home feeling extremely confused and talked with her mom about it who gave her reassurance that no matter what gender that she liked she'd still love her just the same. In the end Kendall realized that while she was attracted to girls she was also attracted to guys as well.
It was at age 14 that Kendall even found out that she had a half sister from her mom. She was eager to meet said half sister but her parents agreed that it wouldn't happen until Krystal had at least gotten to see the now 16 year old girl. Unfortunately for Kendall it seemed that her half sister wasn't at all interested in her biological family. Still, Kendall didn't let such a detial make her pessimistic. She hoped that maybe some day the other girl would come around. Until then she interested herself in learning as much about her as she could, always having wanted a sibiling this was a dream come true for her. She wanted to know if she was like her sister in any ways and was glad to see that art was something that the two of them happened to have in common. Since it was one of the most important things in her life she figured that it would be something good to be able to talk about with the other girl when she met her.
While learning about Evelynne, she also learned about the school that her half sister went to. The idea of going to a school where art was a huge part of it was a dream come true to her and she knew that she had to get into the school. She was already too late to apply for her Freshman year but she decided that she'd devote the rest of that year to trying and making the most amazing resume that she could for when she applied for her Sophomore year. When the time came, she sent off the letter and waited anxiously for weeks to try and learn back of a response. Every day when she got home she went straight to the kitchen table to look through the mail. The day that she found the bulky envelope waiting for her she screamed in excitement before even opening it to know that she had been accepted on full scholarship.
