PERSONALITY
Zoey has always been a bit of an overachiever. It's not because she wants to be thought of as smarter than everyone else or because she's trying to live up to some impossible standard set by someone else in her life, it's just her nature which is possibly driven by the fact that she wants to do something great with her life. There's a bit of pride involved in it too, though she'd try to deny it but it's true. Whatever the reason, she loves going the extra mile when it comes to anything that she's doing because there isn't anything that she wants to be doing just at the expected level. And it makes her have to work harder, for sure, to get to the level that she wants to be at but she's perfectly happy with doing the extra work. It gives her a great sense of accomplishment to know that everything she's doing is being done to her highest ability. Of course, she's human too and there are times when she just doesn't feel like going that extra mile, but those times aren't very often and usually only in a bad situation either emotionally or physically, the situation has to be extremely bad too because she doesn't get down very easily or let sickness rule over her whenever she feels a little bit of it coming on.
Despite her want to succeed, she still maintains a low level of anxiety for the most part, the exception being when she doesn't, for one reason or another, do well on something that she thought that she would. She's never feel the need to be a teacher's pet or brag about her achievements or grades. At least, not to anyone else but in her own mind she can sometimes be a bit smug with herself and her work. Just as sometimes, she can't help but be just a little proud of the money that she has. Without a doubt, pride is her deadly sin and she's too proud to even admit it. Instead, she'd rather think of herself as a more humble individual. In her mind she has this image of who she wants to be and instead of making herself different to fit that image, she tells herself that she is already to that image. There are times when she can;'t manage to convince herself of that but those times are rare and she can mostly get over them without too much time needed and go back to convincing herself that things are fine.
Her history with relationships isn't the best and actually, she doesn't have that much of a history either. Mostly it's because she hasn't quite come to terms with her sexuality, though she has realized at this point that she doesn't find interest in dating any guys. However, she's mostly tried to convince herself that it was just because none of them were up to her standards. However, even with doing that she can never find excuses for the attraction that she undeniably feels toward other girls. For the most part, she ignores it the best that she can. It's not that she's homophobic or anything, nor does she have a problem at all with the idea of homosexuality in general, but she's scared to admit that she might be interested in girls. It's not exactly a life that's ever seemed easy and she's not sure she's ready to be putting up with everything that some people have to go through. If anything, she's hoping it is something that will pass before she has to come to terms with it so that she can go on a live the kind of normal life that she always wanted for herself.
APPEARANCE
Zoey is pretty secure with her looks. Standing at 5'5, she's an average height and is slim thanks in part to the yoga that she participates in. Although, she is lacking when it comes to curves in her figure but she holds out hope that she'll still gain some. Her clear, ivory complexion is complimented by her chocolate brown eyes and dark brown hair, which she prefers to keep a bit on the longer side. A set of straight, white teeth are product of careful care and an Invisalign treatment that she is still in the finishing process of completing.
Her clothing style is a bit more on the fashionable side, seeing as she has a bit more money to spend on clothing. Though she doesn't tend to follow trends because they're in, she is drawn more to clothes that are the current style. In the entirety of her wardrobe she owns three pairs of jeans and not very many other pairs of pants at all, though she does have quite a few pairs of leggings. However, the number of skirts that she owns is far higher. Within her wardrobe she also has quite a few belts, scarves and other accessories, including more than ten different pairs of shoes for different occasions.
HISTORY
Kenneth Hundt was already sixteen years old by the time that his family came into money, or more money than what they were accustomed, given that his father had always been a doctor. And a doctor's salary - much less a specialist salary - wasn't anything small, but after his medical discovery and a new found recognition for his work within the medical community, they suddenly found themselves into more money than they'd ever known. This money was what got Kenneth invited to an exclusive party shortly after his twenty-third birthday. It was something that he'd been iffy about at first, but had quickly warmed up to the idea when presented with the prospect of spending his Friday night alone. It ended up going to the party, where he ended up meeting nineteen year old Kelly Romine, with whom he was instantly taken. She, however, wasn't as impressed and it took him all evening for her to even give him her phone number. Once he obtained it though he started on a plan to win her over. Through a series of plans, he finally got her to be his after six months time.
Once they were together they were always together - or were together as much as they were able, given that he was going to college to become a doctor like his father had been. Though her parents disapproved of the relationship, for they disdainfully viewed Kenneth as new money, Kelly still pursued it and after three years of being together the couple announced their engagement. By this time, her parents had grown used to the idea that their daughter would be marrying into a money that wasn't quite the scale as their own and they agreed to pay for the wedding. It was a tasteful affair and Kelly got everything that she could have ever hoped for. Including a beautiful wedding dress and an amazing honeymoon to follow in a Caribbean resort. And when they got back to their home in Cary, North Carolina she settled into her new role as a wife quite well, spending her days around the house or out with her friends or playing music. Music had been a skill that was instilled into Kelly at a young age but she came to love it over the years and had even attended a certain Missouri boarding school for the advancement of her skill.
It wasn't even another year before Kelly found herself pregnant, excited to know the gender of the little baby, she took to finding out as soon as possible if she'd be having a boy or a girl. And she found out that she'd be blessed with a little girl, at what time she went ahead and started buying up everything that she possibly could for the little darling that would be arriving. The nursery was completed two months before the little girl was even born. But on June 5th, 1993 little Zoey Madeline was brought into the world shortly after three in the morning. The small girl was brought home from the hospital a few days later and soon started into the life style that she would get for the rest of her life. She had loads of toys to keep her attention and a mother who was around to raise her, spending time with her little daughter as much as possible and heavily exposing her to music from the moment that she came home.
Meanwhile, Kenneth started his first job at the hospital and as Zoey started to get a little bit older, Kelly decided that she wanted a job as well. So she took to teaching violin and piano to some of the children of her wealthier acquaintances, which was considered to be a classical skill that every child should know. Although she did make quite a bit of money doing so, Kelly never paid much attention to the fact that she was getting paid. For her, it was just more of a reason to play music as she'd always loved. Her favorite student, of course, was her own little daughter who demanded to be taught how to play music shortly after turning three years old. At such a young age, the only things that she could do were press down on a couple of keys on the piano and she called that good. While time went on though, she got more and more involved in learning the art of the violin. It was obvious that she loved it and had the same talent that her mother had possessed long before her tenth birthday, spending hours at a time in the evening trying to learn new pieces or working on perfecting the ones that she already knew.
Kelly found herself pregnant again about the time that Zoey turned nine and throughout her pregnancy she still spent the majority of her time with her daughter. Though obviously once the baby was born, her attention shifted more to little Thomas Matthew, even if she did try to make special time to spend with Zoey. Luckily, Zoey took to her little brother immediately and never begrudged him the fact that her mom needed to spend more time with him then. Kenneth kept up his busy work schedule in the hospital, though having worked his way through the ranks in a positive manner and starting on his way to a reputation as great as his father's. He tried to spend as much time with his family as possible, but given his busy schedule it was never anything easily accomplished. Nonetheless, the family still would manage to get a few weeks together during the summer in which they visited Kelly's family's beach house and would spend their days doing family activities.
It was decided long before Zoey even reached the age to send in an application that she would be attending Gordon Parks', or a similar school, when it came time for her to enter high school. And so when the time came that they would have to send in an application both Kelly and Kenneth sat down with Zoey and discussed the idea with her. Upon hearing the suggestion she immediately agreed, eager to go to a school that could help advance her violin skills. Even more that it should be the very same school that her mother attended. So the application was sent and not much later an acceptance letter was received, much to Zoey's delight. When the fall of her Freshman year came, she packed up her bags and headed off to Kansas City with the idea that she would make something great of herself.
