PERSONALITY
Sarah is a quiet girl, mostly keeping to herself. She watches from afar and doesn't really like any sort of attention. At first it may be hard to understand her since she has a habit of talking very low when meeting new people and may even blush quite a few times for no apparent reason. Having a social life never appealed to Sarah unlike her older brother who had a group of tight knit friends he had over the house frequently. She had one or two best friends, but never more than she could count on one hand. Others were considered just plain friends or acquaintances. Despite her shy demeanor, Sarah is passionate girl, taking certain comments to heart. As it may be stereo typical of red heads, Sarah does indeed have a short fuse and is a force to reckon with when upset. She takes after her father in that department.
Don't let her aloof attitude get to you as Sarah is insecure. There ¡s a wall built around her, but with the right people it'll crumble down and she'll consider them someone who has her complete trust. You can usually find her behind a book as she adores reading, loving how books can take you to a seemingly different world. But, she also spends most of her time dancing, which is something that she plans to be her future. She's a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to her dancing and she'll try over and over until she'll get a move right. No matter how good her routine may be, Sarah always feels it could be better. Coming from parents who didn't complete high school, Sarah was expected to excel in school. So, she gives her all when it comes to classes, whether it be completing her homework, participating in class or studying for a test. She wants to make her parents proud and she knows that walking across that stage to get her diploma will do just that.
When it comes to the opposite sex, Sarah is a little intimidated. She wants a boyfriend just as bad as next girl, but can't seem to bring herself to allow it. Losing her virginity to some guy who in the end broke her heart can leave even the strongest girl scarred. So, for that Sarah is just simply waiting for right guy to come along. She often has a hard time making decisions over the easiest things and gets a bit impatient. Sarah is a nice girl with a big heart, but it just takes a little longer to get into. Now, she may be a bookwork of sorts, but Sarah is also active as she has the moves and body to prove so. She can get down and dirty, also enjoying sports thanks to her active sport loving older brother and enjoys being herself. Sarah is completely comfortable in her own skin.
APPEARANCE
Sarah is a pretty girl, the kind that you don't really notice until you do a double take. She resembles more of her father, but the one thing that noticeably inherited from her mother was the long, vibrant red hair. It falls sleekly below her shoulders with fiery bangs that hang over her forehead. It's usually either pulled back in a ponytail or let loose around her face. She doesn't really mess around with her hair all that often, feeling that the more time she spends with it in the mirror, the more time she is losing out of her day. Along with Sarah's bright hair, it's also hard to miss the grayish, blue color of her eyes. They're surrounded by long, thick auburn lashes that sweep briefly across the start of her cheek bone when she blinks. Sarah has a round face with freckles scattered across the bride of her small and expand out to her cheeks. Two eyebrows perfectly trimmed stand arch over her eyes and pout lips that form a shy smile time to time.
Everything is pretty much average when it comes to Sarah. She stands at the normal height of five feet four inches and a weight of one hundred fifteen pounds. Sarah was a bit awkward looking when she was younger, but now her curves filled out in the right places and she's content with how she is. She loves clothes and has a flare for fashion, but suffers going to bargain stores that fit her family's income. Sarah will wear anything from sweatpants to a nice sun dress depending on how she feels on a certain day. Although, make up isn't a big thing for her, Sarah likes to use it to enhance her eyes and put some color on her fair skin.
HISTORY
Mary Smith was a naive adult living in a world she was not accustomed to by any means. Growing up in an Amish community in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Mary decided to leave it behind when she reached of age. So, she joined her mother who had fled ten years ago in Richmond, Virginia. After living with the older woman for a few years, Mary found a well paying job as a maid in a five star hotel then went off to live on her own. She found a nice apartment complex where just six months later met Scott Fisher on a rainy afternoon when she locked herself out. They swapped stories. His mom, him and two younger brother's moved to American from the United Kingdom when he was ten due to issues with their father. He currently worked as a chef at his younger brother's restaurant and dropped out of high school to help his sick mother who suffered from lung cancer and passed away not too long ago. Scott understood her situation and over time the two became close and eventually started dating. They took things very slow by the request of Mary as she still believed in her old fashioned upbringing from her community. Two difficult and sex deprived, but happy years later, they married; having an intimate wedding on the beach.
Six years passed and The Fisher's were blessed with a beautiful baby boy, who they named Wallace "Wally" Fisher. Raising him was a handful. Mary and Scott craved for a little girl. They got their wish. Just four years later, Sarah was born on early Valentine's morning, thus the two parents gave her the middle name Love. The pregnancy was a very difficult one. Mary suffered sharp abdomen pains that became much too unbearable. The original due date being April, Sarah was brought into the world prematurely and was left at the hospital. After three months in an incubator and an on and off battle of oxygen, Sarah stabilized and was able to go home to her parents and older brother. The young red and Wally were very close. She often took to following him around at all times and cried when he went off to school. He succumbed to her puppy eyes and suffered countless hours of playing with Barbie dolls or pretend house. As they got older though, the two siblings became less dependent on one another and had their own activities, but still remained close.
Wally began finding his calling in sports, preferably soccer. He was captain and MVP on the local junior high school team. Sarah didn't really have anything she liked all that much until Mary decided to enroll her in ballet and gymnastics. She took to it right away. She competed in numerous competitions in her age division, bringing home ribbons and trophies. Her older brother at the same times was stocking up on soccer and baseball trophies as well. Their parents were very proud. This was something that Sarah was extremely passionate about. She put her whole soul into dancing, whether it was ballet, jazz or modern, all her effort was 100% pure. Although, gymnastics didn't hold the same appeal and after five years, Sarah decided to quit and focus solely on dancing. Her favorite type of dancing was modern. She loved it. The only rule was that she had to keep up in school, which she had no problem in doing so. Sarah stayed a steady honor roll student, even joining the Dean's list in her very first semester of middle school.
It wasn't until Wally went off to college when Sarah started to become a little depressed. Feeling neglected by her brother and resenting him for it, Sarah threw herself into her dancing. It began to consume her. If that wasn't worrisome enough for her parents, a boy she started to hang out with on a daily basis was beginning to take the place of dancing. Sarah liked him very much, but her parents felt something was a little off with him. Despite their thoughts on the boy, Sarah dated him anyway and after only a few months, she broke under his pressure and gave herself to him. Thinking they were now truly in love, Sarah felt completely content. The feeling was short lived. Just a day after, on the last day of school, Sarah was emotionally hurt by finding him at the bus loop, making out with the Queen Bee of the school. Apparently, it had all been a set up and she fell for it like an idiot.
Sarah didn't talk about it to anyone. It was something she kept locked away. She spent that summer locked away in her room. She didn't go out with her friends, separated herself from her parents and ignored the phone calls from her brother who suddenly began to call every day instead of once every couple of months. Dance suddenly began to be her life again, a way to alleviate her feelings. She wasn't ready to go to high school, especially after that fiasco with her ex. Wanting to simply to get away from everything, Sarah began to do some research. It took a few weeks, but she found Gordon Parks Academy for the Arts and applied right away without telling her mom or dad. After a month, Sarah began to give up hope on being accepted until she received a letter. Her scream of delight caused Mary and Scott to see what was going on, only to find their daughter jumping around excitedly. The young red head finally calmed down enough to tell them. They were a bit skeptical at first, but after phoning and having a conference with the principle they decided to let her go. Soon enough, Sarah's bags were packed and she was ready to go.
ROLE PLAYING SAMPLE
To say that Ava was hungry would be an understatement. Starving was a much more fitting term for the embarrassing sounds that were coming from her stomach. It actually reached to the point where it became painful enough to start giving her a headache. She groaned in aggravation when then sunlight greeted her as she stepped outside. Gordon Parks was different than any other school Ava had ever attended. The freedom was probably the best part of it all and the fact that she was able to get away from her constant bickering parents. It was a wonder that they were still together, not that she wanted them to separate or anything, but sometimes it was overwhelming. She had spent the better part of the day studying up on her classes just to refresh her memory on what went on during Friday classes. It was always good to study a little bit everyday. The facts tended to stick a little more. Being so engrossed with her school work, Ava forgot to eat breakfast and time went by so fast that she forgot to eat lunch as well, which is what brought her to her current problem right now. She didn't fancy eating cafeteria food so her only option was to grab something to eat outside of the school.
Taking the bus was her original plan until she remembered that she wouldn't even know what stop to get off at. She wasn't exactly familiar with the area so, Ava opted for walking. She wouldn't have minded company at all, in fact she hated dining alone, but she didn't know many people. It was a little after four and hopefully by the time she finished eating it'd be light enough to walk back to school. However, her father wouldn't be her father if he didn't supply her with some sort of protection. A week after arriving to school, a small package containing pepper spray came in the mail. She laughed at his crazy joke, but kept it in her bag at all times just in case. Ava highly doubted that she'd have the need to use it on anyone so it was a wonder why her father even sent to her in the first place. But, she was never one to question her father. Thoughts of her dad were pushed out of her mind when she almost passed a nice, colorful looking restaurant. It was like artist heaven! Crayola Cafe. The name was very fitting. Ava smiled to a waitress in greeting and found herself a nice booth by the windows so she can look outside. The waitress came around with a menu, but Ava waved it off and ordered a double cheeseburger with fries and a coke. Once alone, Ava stared out the window for a bit before turning to the placemat in front of her and began to doodle to pass the time until her food arrived.
