PERSONALITY
Olivier, Oli for friends, is a bit of a smart ass. He's got brains and skills for comebacks and he doesn't like letting skills go to waste - he's not a mean guy, but he definitely has no problem letting people know about his opinions, or what he pretends to be his opinions. He likes shocking people, whether it's by telling the truth or tweaking it a little, and it has gotten him in a bit of trouble before. He's not vain, but he is a bit proud and he loves bragging, though not about stupid things like how much money he has or how big his parents' estate is, which he easily could because he does actually have a whole lot of money, and his primary residence is pretty huge. Instead, he much prefers bragging about adventurous, daredevil things he's done, some that have almost gotten him killed even, others that were just plain stupid from how dangerous they are but that he did so brilliantly that people generally still find it amazing. But he really much prefers shocking people to impressing them, which is why debating is his favorite activity, and one he's excessively good at.
Of course, one can't be that way without making a few enemies, but that has never bothered him. He actually have issues with making friends or keeping them at all, not so much because of who he is but because of who his family is. All his life, he's been forced among crowds of snobby people he has never had any interest befriending, but the moment he meets other people, he's never sure if they want to be his friend because they actually like him and want him as a friend, or because he has money - and in spite of his over confident appearance, he sometimes still wonder if there is that much of a different reason for people to want to hang out with him in the first place other than his money. He's not a loner by any way though, and he hates being by himself - he finds himself most at ease when he's in a crowd, the center of attention, but his trust issues just keep a wall up between him and other people, and since nobody has ever tried to go past it, he figures it just proves what he thinks, that people only want to be around him because of his money and status.
If there's one thing he isn't, it's one of those people that never want to get their hands dirty or get involved with anything - being the son of an important social figure, image matters a lot, and donating to causes and charities is something his family does a lot, without really getting involved though, and that's something he deplores. He tries to do as much as he can, though it's a bit more complicated than he'd like it to be, but still, he's volunteered a few times before for various charities and he plans on doing so again more in the future. He may not always seem like it with the way he talks and presents himself, but he's got a very big, kind heart and he can be very caring, which shows whenever he volunteers for something that involves children. He's a very passionate person, which is one of the things that make him a great actor, and he tends to be very theatrical in his every day life as if he were a character himself, which he sometimes does feel like he is.
His dating history is, as may be expected, pretty extensive, though he's never had a long term relationship or anything close to it. He's contented himself with flings over the past few years, though of course at fifteen it can't be said that he's been dating for very long, but that hasn't stopped him from winning the heart of several young ladies and even scoring with some of them. For him, sex and feelings may go together sometimes, but it's definitely not necessary, and he seeks pleasure from it a whole lot more than any emotional bond it may give.
APPEARANCE
Olivier definitely has the potential to be a heart breaker when you take his looks into consideration. Even at fifteen, his looks are starting to look more manly than boyish, and though he's expected to grow a couple of inches more in the next few years, he already stands at a height of 5'10, making him a little taller than the average for his age. His lean, lanky body is slowly starting to build up some muscle mass due to his frequent work out sessions and he's slowly growing out of the awkward stage most teenagers have to go through. He was lucky enough to be graced with nice features, though they don't necessarily stand out either, his hazel eyes ranging from green to brown and his lips rather thin. He tends to keep his hair on the shorter side, always perfectly styled of course, though it'll happen that he'll let it grow a little longer, showing off his naturally curly hair when he does.
His fashion sense is rather well developped, and he dresses better than a lot of teens his age due to the environment he was brought up in. Of course, he's always had to wear uniforms at school from the moment he was five years old, but even in his every day life, t-shirts aren't something he'll wear a lot, unless he's working out or doing something physical. His wardrobe is mostly constituted of button down shirts and jackets, which he generally pairs up with a clean pair of jeans or trousers. He doesn't enjoy shopping much though, and so whenever he does have to get new clothes, he'll generally pick one store and get everything from there in massive quantities, which explains why most of his clothes have the same look. He does not, however, dress up in a suit and tie on a daily basis - his style is a bit more on the casual fancy scale than a full out professional look.
HISTORY
Olivier François Perreault was born in the early morning of April 4th 1996 to parents François and Victoria (née Desroses) Perreault, in the city of Lyon, the second biggest and richest city of France. Both sides of his family had lived in the city for several generations now and had left their mark in very important ways - his maternal grandfather had long ago climbed up the ladder of success, second in command at the Interpol headquarters, and his father himself had done pretty well as a politician, already thirty by the time his son was born, being seven years older than his wife. Big incomes and family money assured the Perreault family a lavish lifestyle, and Olivier grew up in that environment, getting used to having several maids, a personal chauffeur, a nanny, a private tutor and so on. Of course, as a baby it didn't affect his life much, and as he grew a bit older, he didn't see anything special to it - for him, it was merely normal, it was what he'd been used to all his life, and it seemed that everybody must live that way.
Obviously, he realized at some point that it wasn't the case, mostly when he walked around the city with his mother or went with his father on one of his numerous monthly trips to Paris. Poverty was a strange concept to him though, even at a young age, wondering why it was that some people had a lot more than what they needed while others barely had enough to get by, but as he grew older, those concerns and wonders mostly disappeared, figuring that was just how things were and there wasn't much he could do about it. From the moment he was old enough to enter school, he was sent to one of the most select private academies of France, and his life just kept on being more of the same old. He wasn't sure how much he liked it, figuring there just had to be more to it, generally bored with the way things went on a daily basis, but there wasn't really much he could do about it. Nonetheless, he started seeking a way to keep himself entertained, looking for an adrenaline rush as he got into slightly more extreme sports, not really caring about their being dangerous, even convincing his dad to let him have a motorcycle around the age of twelve though he wouldn't be allowed to legally drive it for another three years, promising that he'd be safe and only drive on country roads - which, obviously he didn't do most of the time.
The one other activity he happened to find one day to try and kill the boredom was the theater. He did it mostly as a joke, after some snotty kid in school raved about his own acting talents and bragged about how it was a sure thing that he would be getting the lead role in the next drama club play, signing up for the auditions himself and trying out for the lead. He was pretty sure he wouldn't get it, since he basically had no experience, and so nobody was more surprised - and immensely amused - than him when the results came out and showed that he had actually gotten it. He debated turning it down for a while, not really having had any intention of doing it, but as he showed up to the first rehearsal, he found that it wasn't so bad after all. Actually, it was pretty cool. From that moment on, he officially joined the drama club, participating in basically every play and always scoring the first role, his talent obvious to anyone that wasn't too jealous to admit it. He didn't really care about being the best though - all he knew was that he really loved it, and he wanted to make sure he would keep on being able to get better as he grew older.
It had been long ago decided that, once Olivier got to his teen years, he would be sent away to boarding school like his father had before him. His grandparents, and his dad and mom agreed, claimed that it would do him good to live in a city other than the one he'd grown up in for a while, build character - not that he lacked any of that - and so they started researching the most prestidigious, snotty schools around the globe, finding a few in England, one in Germany, two in different cities of France, Switzerland, the US, Australia and so on. Oli, however, had a very different idea of what going off to boarding school for four years meant, and due to his new found passion for theater, he broadened his options a little, doing researches of his own and looking for school that would combine both what his family was looking for and what he wanted. He found that in Gordon Parks' Academy, at least partly - he was pretty sure his parents were looking for something a lot more fancy, but they didn't have to know about some of the school's rules, and when he approached his parents and asked to be sent there, he made such a convincing argument, bringing out all the points that he needed and carefully avoiding those that would have them turn it down, that they decided maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing, and from there he could even try and get into a big University once he graduated college. Soon after, an application was sent and he waited anxiously for an answer to come back, though he had no worries about being accepted, and he was proven right when, a few weeks later, a letter came back stating that he would be starting his Freshman year as a Gordon Parks' Academy for the Arts theater student in the Fall of 2011.
