Cassidy didn't want to take sides in this story, but she was honestly having a bit of a hard time. Still, she was just as good of friends with Zoey as she was with Marisol, even though she couldn't really approve of her actions at the moment - sure, Marisol was the one to have initiated the kiss, but it had lasted a good five minutes or so before Zoey had brought herself to pull away, and there had been tongues involved even. And now, Marisol was left feeling like crap over it whereas Zoey did her best to pretend it had never happened and just went on with life. She figured the musician probably had her reasons to act the way she did, so she didn't push too much. After all, she knew very well that the other girl worked by contrary, and the more she pushed, the longer it'd take her to do something about it. She still had many doubts about Zoey'd true sexual orientation though, and if this problem went deeper than just curiosity.
She pushed those thoughts out of her mind for the moment though, grinning at Marisol as she returned the compliment as to her appearance and nodding when she asked if Logan was coming over to the bonfire with her. "You bet he is, I told him I was letting him off the hook for prom, but he's gotta sex me on the beach," she said a bit teasingly, noticing that the other girl's eyes were no longer on her though, and sighing a bit when she heard what Marisol said next. "Marisol, I told you I'd spend some time with you tonight and I plan on doing just that. Besides, if she's old enough to decide she'd still rather ignore you than join in the fun and come over to talk with us, she's old enough to stay by herself for a few minutes," she said with a light shrug, though she rolled her eyes a bit when she noticed the look the older girl was giving her and huffed lightly. "Fine, but I still expect to get to spend some time with you tonight. This is your last prom, I'm not missing the whole of it," she warned her, giving her another hug. "You're too nice for your own good Marisol. You deserve to be happier than this," she told her gently before letting go of her, giving a light smile and making her way back to the table she'd left Zoey sitting at.
