As it always did whenever she was at Disney, time had gone much too fast for Amanda's liking. Somehow, they'd gotten through to their last day and it'd been an amazing trip. Not that her trips to Disney were ever anything less than amazing, but she knew that when she came back next she'd be missing having everyone around. It'd be great to get to share the experience with people who hadn't had it before, to show them new things and watch their reactions as they got to experience the magic for the first time. She was a firm believer that no one could dislike Disney if they were shown it right and she was pretty sure that she'd accomplished showing off the most of what Disney had to offer. Not that they'd even touched half of what there was to do, because some of it just wasn't stuff she felt like doing or didn't feel her friends would enjoy, and some of it because they had things that they'd rather do again and she was more than willing to accommodate that, trying to fit in the things that everyone had enjoyed the most in Magic Kingdom throughout their last day.

There would be some extra magic hours after fireworks too, which she planned on using to the full advantage as they did have a flight that was a little later going back to Kansas City so they could sleep in a little the next morning before they had to catch the Magical Express to the airport. Still, she'd known what she'd wanted for the last night and it was to have the dessert party for the fireworks showing to add the extra bit of magic for their last night. So, when it got closer to the time when it'd be starting she lead the way to the Tomorrowland Terrace - they could have waited a little longer if they'd wanted to catch the parade but no one had seemed particularly inclined to watching it again, so instead they'd been off riding Big Thunder Mountain. Giving their name at the check in area and heading in to grab some of the tables for the group. "You guys can go get desserts first if you want," she suggested to the rest of the group. "And don't feel like you have to skimp, you can have as many as you want, but you probably won't want to go and grab any during the show."

This week had gone by way, way too fast for Jade's liking, but then, she figured that stood true for this entire year. She wasn't ready to see it come to an end, yet every week felt like it was flying by, and she just wanted it to slow down a little, so she could enjoy it all better, and not have to leave so soon. She'd never expected to feel so torn over her decision of going back home after graduating from the Academy, but there had been many things that had happened over the course of the year that made her wish she could stay instead - not only relating to Amanda even, although she was admittedly a fairly sizeable aspect of that wish. Still, her girlfriend wasn't the only person she would miss when she went back to Hawaii for good. It would just be a different kind of painful, to have to part with her versus having to part with her friends. And it was weird that all of those emotions were suddenly intensified as they went into their last night of an amazing trip, but it just mirrored everything so perfectly - the fact that nothing would ever quite be this way again.

Sure, there was no saying she'd never come back to Disney World, but it wouldn't be like this if she did someday return, and there would be memories accompanying her then. She'd tried not to think on all those things too much though as she'd woken up a bit early that morning so she could get all of her things neatly packed away, aside from her outfit for today and the next day, and a few necessities and toiletries that would go in her carry on bag. The last thing she'd wanted was to bring the mood down, and she figured it would have been hard to do even if she'd wanted to anyway, so she'd gone about the day as she had for the whole week, having a great time in general and just enjoying herself. Not surprised that Amanda had planned something for the last night as she lead them toward what seemed to be a restaurant area, glancing over where tables were lined up and piled with what appeared to be nothing but dessert. It really was a good thing she'd kept up with her morning run every day. "I can't figure if I'll remember Disney most for its rides, its shows or its food," she spoke with a slight shake of her head as Mands said they could go ahead and get as many desserts as they wanted. Having to hold back a small laugh as Jessica seemingly took the musician's words at heart though and practically skipped over to the dessert tables, deciding to make her way over as well and grabbing a reasonable but varied selection before returning to the table and sitting down.

It was a bit crazy to Melanie that the week at Disney had pretty much come to an end already. Also a bit sad if she was honest, which she hadn't expected. Still, it'd been such a great trip and she'd had such a great time with everyone that she knew that despite the fact that they'd all be going back to school together, it'd still feel strange not to spend the days like this all together and doing fun things. She definitely understood, too, why Amanda liked coming back again and again because even having spent a week here she was noticing things that they hadn't done or details that she'd missed the first time that they'd done things. Overall, it was just a fascinating place and it felt almost as if reality had been halted for the past week. The only time that it had come up was when she'd done some school work because she didn't really have an option not do it it. Even then though, the energy of the place had continued on past the first day and even though they were nearing the end of the trip, it somehow still managed to feel as magical as when it started.

She knew from what Amanda told them that they'd have more time for rides after the dessert party that they were headed too and had even suggested that everyone pick one ride they wanted to do again before they left. Personally, she was torn between Space Mountain and The Haunted Mansion, but she figured that it was likely they'd do both. When they got in - with about an hour to go before the fireworks - she was admittedly a bit curious about the set up. Glancing around and out at the view, noting that the parade music was audible and the bright floats could be seen from the distance. Following the rest of the group up to the dessert table she groaned a bit, looking at all the delicious options and glaring slightly at Jess who piled them on without a second thought. "I shouldn't even eat any of these after this week," she sighed, but grabbed a plate anyway and started picking up desserts that looked good. "But screw it, it's my last night, may as well make the most of it before I get back to school and have to start eating reasonable again."

Even now that the week at Disney World had come to an end, Oli couldn't really say whether he liked the Orlando park better than Disneyland Paris. Ultimately, he'd come to the conclusion that it was just not comparable - there were rides he preferred back home, but then there were so many different things here. And then, the nature of the trip definitely had a key role to play in his opinion of the parks, as well. Coming here with his girlfriend and best friend had definitely made it a greater trip than he would have expected, and he couldn't help but wonder what was in store for all of them at this point. Not to mention, he did feel very thankful for the fact that he and Mel were pretty much the only ones with a certainty of what next year would bring to them, so long as things kept going as well as they had started out, but then he wasn't too worried about that. Still, he was just glad that he wasn't in Amanda and Jade's situation, because if Mands wasn't too sure where she stood right now - or more like didn't allow herself to think of it - it was pretty clear that the Senior's feelings didn't match with the relationship type they'd agreed on. And even Jessica and Porter would potentially have some issues to deal with before the year was over, because although he didn't pry, he knew of some of the college acceptance letters the other guy had received.

And maybe it was selfish to feel happy that he and Melanie wouldn't have those problems for a few years yet, but seeing as he was well aware there was no certainty as to where their own relationship would take them, he figured it was only fair that he should enjoy the time they had and just hope for the best. They were still only Sophomores in high school after all, and even if it was getting easier by the day to picture more of a long term future with the dancer, he didn't want to get ahead of himself. They had a couple more years to just take things easy, enjoy being together and in love, and when the time came to worry and face obstacles, he was sure they'd figure out a way to handle it - regardless of the end result. And so tonight, as he walked through the parks along with his friends on their way to a special dessert event Amanda had apparently reserved for them, his mind was free of any type of worries, just set on enjoying their last evening in the Magic Kingdom. Nodding slightly as Mands suggested getting what they wanted now so they didn't have to get up once the fireworks display started, following along with his girlfriend to head over to the tables set with too many desserts to pick from. Giving a soft chuckle at Mel's reaction to it, lightly rubbing at his girlfriend's lower back as he grabbed a plate of his own. "That's the spirit," he told her a bit teasingly as she elected to start back eating better once they got back to school rather than worrying about it now, getting himself a fairly nice selection of desserts as well.

[Porter Clarke]

Porter was well aware that he was probably the only one in the group that was actually a little glad that their days at Disney would soon be coming to an end. Not that he hadn't enjoyed it, because he honestly had, but he couldn't say that he would miss the commando style touring that they'd been doing. Most of the trip had been so go, go, go that it'd been fairly tiring. Not to mention the fact that he wouldn't miss having to share living quarters with everyone. True, he'd still have to technically share his dorm room with Olivier, but the other guy was there so infrequently that it really didn't count too much. Besides, while he didn't mind spending time with Jessica when she was so excitable and happy, he couldn't deny that it would be a little easier to get back to things where she wouldn't have as much reason to be hyper all the time. Whoever had decided that dessert had to come with lunch and dinner clearly had not been thinking straight. But oh well, seeing Jess so happy it'd been hard to be grumpy about anything, even when he'd been woken up early and dragged onto rides like Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

While he wasn't interested in the dessert party so much for the desserts - though he was sure that they'd be fine, as he'd found everything food related in Disney to be way above the standards that he'd imagined for them in terms of food - he was mostly just glad for the excuse to sit down for an hour and not have anyone feel like they weren't doing anything. Besides, this seemed a lot nicer than the last time they'd watched fireworks here and had to stand surrounded by a crap ton of other people. Shrugging and heading up to the dessert table with the rest of the group, taking a plate and watching as Jessica piled on some of everything. "You're going to set a terrible example for all the children here," he teased his girlfriend as he took a smaller selection of desserts. To be honest, he'd pretty much hit a food wall anyway. He wasn't sure that he'd be able to finish what he had on his plate and it was a bit of a miracle that his girlfriend never seemed to run into that problem with how many snacks she'd eaten.

Jessica could hardly believe the week had gone by as fast as it had. Honestly, she could do it all over again starting tomorrow, and she wished she could too. Well, okay, maybe not tomorrow exactly - as much as she'd loved her experience at Disney World, she was looking forward to getting a bit of a break, not from the pace and activities so much, but just from being surrounded by people at all times. And by that she didn't mean her friends, obviously, but just in general. It would be nice to head back to the Academy and be able to spend a few evenings, and weekends, alone with her boyfriend, without having to think about people being in the next room over. Thankfully, there hadn't been any awkward moments over the week in terms of any of the couples getting a bit too comfortable in their setting, partly because they'd all been too tired to really do too much in terms of sexual activities, but also because they'd been fairly mindful of one another - and if Jessica was completely honest, she wouldn't even really have felt that awkward if she had happened to hear more than she was meant to. It really wasn't that big a deal at the end of the day.

Nonetheless, getting their privacy back would be enjoyable, and that was definitely what she was looking forward to the most upon returning to Kansas City. There was still time left, however, and as such, she figured the best thing to do was to make the most of it - and as far as she was concerned, Amanda's plans definitely aligned with her own personal preferences. Giving a light snort as she heard Jade's comment as they made their way toward tables after arriving the dessert party, glancing over at the tables lined with treats. "The food, obviously," she said, only half teasing as she made her way over to get herself some desserts, not even resisting the urge to stick her tongue out at her boyfriend as he told her she was going to set a terrible example for all the children around. "I think you mean aspiration," she told him with a slight grin as she made it a point to pile her plate with as much as it could hold, not wanting to miss out on anything, unashamed as she made her way back toward the table Amanda had saved and set her plate down so she could begin happily sampling.

Amanda was simply glad to see that all of her friends had had a great time this past week. True, she could tell that Porter was getting a bit tired out from all the constant running around that they'd been doing and that pretty much everyone was, but she was still happy with the things that they'd managed to accomplish, even if the trip drawing to a close presented the same familiar sadness that she always felt whenever she was about to leave her 'home'. Laughing as she heard Jade say that she didn't know if she'd miss the food or the rides more and hearing Jess add that it was certainly the food. Which she totally understood because going back to Academy food after Disney was going to suck the most. A lesson that she'd learned the hard way more than once now. Not that it was terrible, but it just couldn't compare to all the delicious food that they'd been eating all week. Honestly, Disney chefs were some of the best, in her own opinion and she was looking forward to going up and grabbing her own plate of desserts.

"Glad to see you'll have no problems with us staying through the Extra Magic Hours after all that sugar," she teased Jessica as the girl came back with her plate full of different desserts. Something that she'd used to be guilty of when she was a child. By now though, she knew her favorites well enough that she usually just stuck to those, pressing a light kiss to Jade's cheek as she went ahead and got up to go and grab her own plate of delicious desserts, on a much more reasonable scale. Making her way back over toward the table where her friends were sitting, though getting stopped along the way by a friend from Indiana who was there with his family. Which didn't surprise her because they'd bought into DVC with a referral from her own parents and it'd happened in the past they were there at the same times. Chatting for a few minutes with the guy before she sat back down and started talking and eating until the lights dimmed and the music started. Feeling her stomach get all light and her throat already start to get tight as it all started.

Honestly, Jade couldn't have imagined this being a better trip than it had been, even if it had just been her and Amanda. Not that she would have minded a trip for just the two of them, she was sure that would have been great as well, but she felt like everyone that had been part of this vacation had had something to bring to the group. It'd been nice to have someone with her every morning as she went on her daily run, although jogging didn't leave much room for chatting it up, but still, she'd had a few talks with Melanie through the week and she did feel like she'd gotten to know the girl a bit better. And then, obviously, Jessica's energy levels were incomparable to anything else, and the way the younger girl could just stuff her face and eat whatever she wanted without ever having to worry about it did make her feel slightly jealous. Then again, she was conscious of what she ate no only for her weight, but for its effect on her body, so even if the had the writer's metabolism she probably wouldn't imitate her eating patterns, but still, there was definitely something to be said about it. And having the two boys around, though Porter was a bit more on the quiet side and Oli had focused the most of his attention on Mel, had been pretty nice too.

She smiled as she felt Amanda press a kiss to her cheek before she got up to go get herself some desserts after she'd sat back at the table, not even really sure where to start - she didn't know she'd even eat it all, but everything had seemed so appetizing and she'd had a hard time passing up all the options that called out to her. Glancing back as she noted Mands was taking a longer time than normal coming back and noticing her engaged in conversation with a boy her age, not initially thinking too much of it - her girlfriend was one of the friendliest girls she knew, so if someone could get into a conversation with just anyone, it was her. A slow chill coursing up and down her spine though as she noted the lights dimming and the music started up for the castle show, her emotions suddenly falling completely out of place. In the instant of a second, she just felt overwhelmed, by everything she'd experienced this week, this year, by the beauty of the fireworks and the shivers the music sent through her body. Looking down at her fingers, entwined with Amanda's, and glancing up at her girlfriend's face and noting the tears glistening on her cheeks. And all at once, it just hit her in the face that she couldn't pretend anymore. Denial wasn't an option at this point. Her own eyes welling up with tears as she looked back over at the castle, her fingers instinctively gripping a bit tighter to Amanda's as she let herself be in love with the girl she'd have to let go of in a few months' time.

Mel laughed a little as Oli told her that it was the spirit to ignore her eating problems until the next day. "I'm glad you're on board with it," she answered, shaking her head a bit as they sat down and Jess started digging into her food. Goodness, she loved her best friend but she was also insanely jealous of the fact that she was likely going to actually eat everything on her plate and have no issues with it. Sitting at the table with the rest of the group and just enjoying the company of everyone as the parade went on until the Castle projection show started and they all fell silent to watch. She did have to admit that there was a little less magic for her watching it here, which was weird. But the first day, the magic had seemed to seep into everything a bit more than it was right now. Maybe it was just because the projection show just didn't have the best view from where they were sitting. Or maybe it was the lack of people that were around them, because while all the tables were full, everyone was pretty much sitting by themselves.

They weren't shoulder to shoulder with other people all waiting and buzzing for the moment to start. Instead, they were seated at a table together like others and while it was in the front even when the lights dimmed, the feeling stayed different. She moved her chair a bit closer to Oli's, leaning into him a bit but finding that her eyes weren't really drawn out to the fireworks. After a moment of watching them instead glancing around at all the other people that were also in the viewing area with them. Struck by the idea, as she watched a few families that while many people were here as a family memory that would last forever, or maybe just a trip that they took all the time, the group she was in was impossibly temporary. The thought brought a lump to her throat, causing her to glance up at her boyfriend as she felt tears start to well up in her eyes. Trying to swallow them back as she went ahead and rested her head on his shoulder, taking a deep breath and then forcing her eyes to focus on the fireworks display.

Fireworks hadn't even really been that big a deal for Oli. He enjoyed them well enough, and they were nice to look at, but ultimately, he didn't go out of his way to try and have a look at some fireworks display. However, even he couldn't deny that Disney put on some pretty impressive night time shows, and they pretty much had a gift at figuring out just the right way to time music with everything to make it as much of an emotionally charged moment as it could be. Honestly, he'd been a bit taken aback when he'd noticed Amanda's tears the first night, because he'd never seen the other girl cry before. To be fair, she'd never put herself in a situation where tears made much sense - yet, anyway. Still, he hadn't expected for her to get that choked up over something like a fireworks display, but then again, he hadn't really anticipated just how big a place Disney held for her either. Which made it a bit worrisome to him that she'd wanted to include Jade in this kind of vacation - not that he couldn't understand her desire to bring her girlfriend along, but for all things had started well, he had a feeling it wouldn't end as smoothly as they'd agreed on.

Of course, that wasn't his place to make a judgement. He didn't bother Mands with those kind of things, because he knew the musician was likely to do what she wanted to do anyway, and she was old enough to decide how things in her personal life went anyway. Not to mention, he knew that any concern he brought up, she could just as easily turn on him and Mel not to dig deeper into the subject, although it was still a few years before he would even have to go home for good. So he figured he shouldn't get himself too worried over it, at least not yet. Instead putting his focus on his girlfriend, smiling as she moved her chair closer to his so she could lean into him, moving his hand to rest lightly onto her knee. Looking down at her as he felt her head rest on his shoulder and noted her taking in a deep breath, giving a light frown of concern as he moved his arm to wrap around her shoulders and pressed a light kiss to the top of her head. He could tell there was something off, but he figured right now wasn't really the time to start having a talk. Besides, it was possible she was just getting emotional because of the fireworks, combined with this being their last day. Somehow, he didn't think so though.

[Porter Clarke]

A trip to Disney World was something that Porter had never even expected to take, so despite the fact that it was drawing to an end, he still was sort of in the mentality that it didn't seem right that he was here. Going to Disney had never been anything that he'd particularly wanted Maybe once, he'd asked his mother if they could go to Euro Disney when he was growing up just because it'd seemed so fun when the other kids in his class had gone, but it was really Gerogie that had pushed the most to try and get the three of them on a trip over to Euro Disney. For years she'd actively begged to be able to go, but it'd never been the budget. As he'd gotten older, he'd sort of forgotten about it, but at times in the past week when everyone else had been busy joking around he'd taken moments to wonder about what his sister would have thought if she were here. It was impossible to know, of course, but he was sure that she probably would have enjoyed it. Then again, after being here, he could see that it would be really hard not to enjoy it.

He shook his head in amusement as Jessica countered that she should be an aspiration for the children around. "I meant what I said," he answered in the same light tone as they made their way back to sit down. Not really contributing much to the conversation that took place around the table, though occasionally throwing in a comment if the mood struck. Finishing his rather small selection of desserts without a problem despite his feeling of probably being too full to eat properly. Still managing it though and settling back in his chair when the lights began to dim again after the projection show had finished and the fireworks were starting. Smiling a little as Jessica moved herself out of her seat and into his lap, wrapping his arms around her waist and holding her close while resting his chin on her shoulder. Looking out at the fireworks that were going off and finding this infinitely preferable to the first night, this position and not actually having to stand through the whole thing because it actually was quite lengthy.

Jessica had to admit that, even for herself, this was pushing it a little. Well, not in terms of being able to finish all she'd put in her plate - her stomach was like a black hole, really, and she had no shame about it either. She was, after all, a growing teenager with plenty of energy to throw around, and as such, she needed fuel. But admittedly, she may have been overdoing it a bit over the course of this week when it came to eating. Thankfully, she didn't think it would have any long term effect on her, seeing as even though she'd been eating more than normal, she'd also been walking a whole lot more as well, and as such, she was pretty sure it'd ultimately just balance out. And seeing as tonight was their very last night, and tomorrow would mean returning to their regular Academy cafeteria food - which was, to be fair, better than regular cafeteria food - she figured there really was no point in just starting now to be reasonable about her sweets intake. Hence why she felt completely comfortable with the amount of sample sized desserts that overflowed her plate as she sat herself down at the table with the rest of the group.

Happily chowing down as everyone else did the same, and contributing to the conversation when her mouth wasn't full, until the lights dimmed and the castle show started. It was a bit of a different atmosphere to do it from a further off point, sitting down around a table - it somehow didn't feel as emotionally charged as it had on the first night - but it was definitely still a great show. Moving herself over to sit in Porter's lap as the fireworks began, leaning herself back against him happily as he wrapped his arms around her to hold her close and rested his chin on her shoulder. Keeping her attention on the fireworks for a brief moment, though allowing her eyes to wander a bit as it got further in, landing on Amanda and Jade first, noting the tears in both their eyes with one small difference - Amanda was looking at the fireworks, and Jade was looking at Amanda. Holding back a sigh, she looked away, feeling like that wasn't something she'd been meant to see, and glanced at Oli and Mel next, raising an eyebrow slightly at the look on her best friend's face, as if she was also holding back tears. Ultimately, deciding to blame it all on the emotionally charged evening at the end of a tiring week, but still making a mental note to have a chat with her two best friends once they got back to school as she snuggled herself a bit closer to her boyfriend, her hand moving to rest on top of his arm.

Amanda had done pretty well to stick to the traditions of her Disney trips with her friends, to give them a better understanding of how much she loved the place by trying to get them to experience everything that she loved about it, which included finishing up the trip by having a Wishes dessert party. Some people weren't fans, she knew her Aunt, for instance, never took part in the party because she enjoyed spending the last night in the group of people in Main Street and one of her cousins felt the same. However, for her, this was the end of the trip. It wrapped up the trip and she never felt like it was really coming to an end until she'd watched the fireworks from here. Usually, while sitting around the table with her parents they talked about their favorite parts of the trip, their least favorite parts of the trip and what they wanted to do next time. Obviously, she didn't do that with the group tonight because who knew if they'd ever be coming back and if they did... well it wasn't likely that they'd all do it together.

The thought made her uncomfortable, as she mentally went through her favorite parts of the trip as she watched the fireworks. Tearing up, as she always did, because it was beautiful, but also from the fact that it was really striking her that she might not get to do this again. That her favorite memories from this trip would never be able to be repeated. It was possible she'd never ride Dumbo with Jade again or steal kisses from her in The Haunted Mansion. With her friends it was a little more likely that it could happen sometime again, but even that was doubtful. The thought of not repeating it, of not being able to share any of this again with Jade especially choked her up more than usual. Squeezing a bit tighter to Jade's hand as she felt the other girl do the same and glancing over at her, noticing the tears that were welling up in her eyes as she watched the show and feeling another pang at the fact that this was something they shared. Leaning over and pressing a soft kiss against the older girl's lips before she turned back to the fireworks.

For Jade, this wasn't even so much a realization about being in love. She hadn't been quite that blind - she'd been able to tell that her feelings for the musician had kept growing stronger and stronger over the course of the year, but she'd always made such an effort to dismiss it all that she'd gotten accustomed to ignoring anything that was emotional in regards to her relationship. Basically just blissfully living in denial, up until this very moment. And to be quite honest, she wouldn't have expected that finally seeing things for what they were would feel the way it did, or happen the way it had. There was nothing gradual about this, it was just all at once and it felt like a ton of bricks. Never would she have expected for her first experience of being in love to be like this - being in love was a beautiful thing, it was supposed to make you feel good and happy and glowing, not give such a wretched, heavy feeling in the pit of your stomach. Which, in a way, even now she couldn't deny that there was something wonderful about feeling love for the younger girl. It wasn't loving her that was making her chest feel tight and tears slide down her cheeks - it was the fact that, not only did she have to keep that love to herself, she'd also have to let go of it by the time she graduated.

And then, she honestly didn't know. How long did it take someone to fall out of love? Would being away help? How much time until she was over the other girl, and more importantly, how well would she be able to be a friend to her once she moved on? Because she had no doubt that Amanda would be able to do so, and suddenly she saw her brief chat with an apparent stranger earlier on in a different light. It wasn't that she felt Mands didn't like her, or that she'd be able to jump right back into the dating game once they were apart. But the younger girl had such an ease with other people, and she was such a wonderful, easy to love person that she wouldn't have any issues finding someone to come and fill up Jade's spot in her life once she was ready for it. Glancing back over at the musician as she noted her leaning closer out of the corner of her eye, her breath catching in her throat slightly at the feel of the soft kiss she pressed to her lips, deciding then and there that if this was the downhill phase of their relationship - not because it was turning bad, but because it was headed toward the end - then she may as well make the most of every moment they'd have, whether they were to be the last or not. Grabbing a napkin off the table as the end of the fireworks show, with the intensity of its music pairing, mixed together with her messy emotions, made her tears flow a bit more easily, dabbing lightly at her cheeks and the corners of her eyes as she tried to sniffle in a slightly more quiet fashion, though she figured at this point there was no avoiding a trip to the bathroom to make sure her waterproof mascara had indeed been waterproof.

It was ridiculous to Melanie how choked up she was getting right now. She prided herself on not being overly emotional and not crying over just anything. Still, she couldn't help the way that she felt like crying right now. Maybe it was because of how exhausting this week truly had been, both physically and even a little emotionally. Or maybe it had something to do with the fact that her period was supposed to start next week. Or, well, as much as she might try and blame it on anything else maybe it was just her and those other factors were simply things that made it to the point where she actually was tearing up. Either way, she was doing her best to try and minimize it, not wanting to actually start crying on her last night in Disney or when surrounded by so many people. Not that she thought she'd start bawling or anything, or even cry to the degree that she'd seen Amanda do on the first night but any tears at all were to try and be avoided. Her eyes fixed on the fireworks as she tried to summon back the feelings that she'd had the first night.

Of course, then Oli had to go and wrap his arm around her shoulders and press a kiss to the top of her head and it did nothing to help the sinking feeling of loss. Which was ridiculous, because she had Oli and things were going well between the two of them. But just this whole trip was finishing and her life would never be this way again, that was the sad truth of the matter. Their group was just for a moment in time and by summertime, even, things would be impossibly changed. Though she tried to keep her focus on the fireworks, she couldn't help her eyes being caught by Amanda leaning in to kiss Jade and while the action was intensely personal, she felt like she almost felt it herself. The feeling of trying to hold onto something that was slipping away because even though Oli had suggested she work in Paris - she knew the odds weren't in their favor. With how much would change by summer, there was no saying how much more would change by graduation. Feeling a few tears actually escape, she reached down hastily to wipe them away while the finale went on, trying to disguise a sniffle with a cough.
