It was pretty easy to tell right now that the atmosphere around the table had shifted suddenly, right around the moment that the castle show had began, and although a lot of it could be attributed to several logical factors, Oli wasn't willing to bet there wasn't a lot more to it than just the knowledge that they had to go back to the Academy tomorrow and just the firework show itself. There was a sort of tension now, not necessarily from all sides, but he could still tell. He tried not to think too much on it for the time being - after all, they still had a few hours ahead of them, and he was fairly confident everyone would be able to move on from whatever was going on inside their head right now and just enjoy the rest of their time in the Magic Kingdom. He, for one, was feeling pretty awake and energized at the moment, and as such he was planning on staying as long as someone else would want to do the same - and hopefully so would Mel. After all, who knew when he'd get to do something like this with her again. Well, granted, he was hoping to invite her over to France for a couple of weeks over the summer, during which he could easily fit in a trip to Disneyland Paris, but it wouldn't be the exact same thing.
Though, obviously, before he went on having fun for the rest of the evening - because he apparently belonged to the half of the group that didn't exactly know what was going on in the mind of the others and wasn't as affected by whatever they were affected by - he would make sure his girlfriend and best friend were okay, because he didn't want to just party on for the rest of the night while they dragged behind. Not that that was either of their type, so ultimately he wasn't too worried about it, but he still wanted to do what he could to make sure the tearful girls around the table would be tear-less and back to smiling once the fireworks were over. Noting the way Melanie moved hastily to wipe at her cheeks as Wishes came to an end, giving her arm a light squeeze with his hand and moving lightly so he could take her chin between his fingers and pull her face toward his, pressing a gentle kiss to her lips. "Are you alright?" he asked quietly as he looked into her eyes, figuring she probably didn't want to bring the attention on herself as she'd clearly wanted to hide the fact that she had shed a few tears herself, but not willing to just let it slide entirely either without a reassurance that she was doing okay.
