Homecoming Dance (Closing July 5th)

He grinned as he saw her blush lightly and look down at her feet, hoping that he would never loose the effect that it seemed he had on her. Actually, he hoped that he was going to be able to see her blushing a lot more in the future but hopefully for a very different reason. He could really just imagine her blushing over so many different things that he should have even been thinking about at that point in time, mostly because it was probably going to make the waiting to see that blushing seem even longer than usual. Besides, he had other things to focus on like her answer. He grinned at her when she agreed to go on a date with him sometime, he hadn't really expected her to say no in the first place anyway. Later they could figure out when said date would take place, but for right now he was just going to keep dancing with her for a bit. By the end of the night they'd have everything figured out he was sure, or maybe he'd just call her later and figure it out. It would be nice to have an excuse to call her, usually he didn't like talking on the phone with people but she was an exception it would seem.

"Glad to hear it," he said to her, moving a bit closer again. He really wanted to kiss her again and was pretty sure that he would within the next few minutes even if she didn't want him to. He was impatient and when he wanted something he went for it, simple as that. It was one of the things that had gotten him the reputation he had, or rather it was one of the things that made him do things in the way that earned him the reputation that he had. He looked at her once more and grinned slightly before he moved closer to her and pressed his lips against hers once more. He knew that she was going to get better with time, but he figured that there was no time like the present to start practicing. The kiss started out slightly different from the last one, not quite as soft but a bit deeper as well. He pulled her slightly closer to him wanting to be a bit closer to his recurrent date as Addie had suggested for a name. One of his hands moved up her back a bit so that it was on her bare back, stroking her skin lightly.

Joel sort of sighed slightly when Cassandra made her comments, alright so his tactful way - or what he thought had been tactful - wasn't exactly right for what he'd been saying. Cassandra was definitely a different type of girl than he was used to. "Well I didn't mean it exactly like that," he tried to explain, knowing that he probably sounded like a bigger idiot than before but he didn't quite like the way that she was looking at him, he felt that he really had to say something to try and make things better. "I mean I do find you really attractive and interesting and stuff. I didn't just ask to shut Cara up, but I actually wanted to be here with you." He kept himself from adding the too that he mentally added unto the sentence out loud, because that would mean that part of his motivation was to get Cara to be quiet. And he was just trying to prove that he was asking her because he liked her, which he did. It was just way too confusing to try and sort out what he should and should not say at this point. He didn't have these problems usually.

"I think the dances are alright," he said with a shrug when she asked. He got what she meant when she added the next part though but was a bit taken off guard by it. It wasn't like he was a virgin or that he believed that sex had to be with love or anything of the sort but he just really hadn't been expecting it in all honesty. Also, he didn't really have a lot of experience in that department. He'd actually only had sex twice, and it was with the same girl. She was kind of his on again off again girlfriend that he had back home, obviously they were off during the school year and back on during the summer. But as he looked at her he couldn't help but maybe want to go with her and just see what would happen if he left with her. He wasn't one to regret his decisions usually and he didn't really see what could really be bad in the situation. The only problem with the whole situation was that he had no clue how to flirt properly, so his attempt was probably going to be horrible. "Sometimes I leave early," he said, trying to put on a 'flirting voice' - not working well. "If I have a reason."

[Mandy Steele]

Mandy couldn't help but nod slightly as he told her that there was nothing to be sorry about, mostly because she was too preoccupied by the way that her skin was still tingling from every place that her body had touched his. Actually she felt a bit like there was a strange sense of loss involved with it. She'd liked how nice it'd felt to be pressed against him, to have her whole body feel like it had. It was a good feeling, but it felt odd for her to feel that way. She tried to push the thoughts out of her head, trying not to think about how she wanted to be even closer than she was now, even though he'd already pulled her slightly closer to him. She wasn't used to wanting to be so close to people, yet alone wanting to be so close to a guy. But it was what she wanted, even though she realized that she was probably breaking some rule with her religion with that want. She took a deep breath and forced the thoughts out of her mind, picking a new topic to focus on. She was having a hard time with that though, even though she was dancing with him again.

"So..." She was at loss of what to say by now. Not that she'd had much to say in the first place, but now after that embarrassing moment, it was even worse. Plus throw in her semi-embarrassing thoughts and it just made the whole situation horrible. Not that he could hear her thoughts, but somehow she felt that they had to be wrong and that he could sense them. For most people it wouldn't be that big of a deal to just want to be close to someone, but for her it was a big deal. She couldn't even technically date yet and she always thought that she wouldn't want to, but here she was being proved wrong. She didn't like the feeling of not knowing what to do, of the total helplessness she felt and confusion. Her emotions were playing with her mind and she was finding it hard to concentrate because she was trying to figure out the entanglement of emotions and separate them all, none of them really seemed to hold up to her logic but she couldn't figure out what was so wrong with that either. She was half wishing she hadn't come by now.

[Trent Montgomery]

Trent cursed under his breath as he headed to the table with the drinks on it. He was so pissed - not at Abigail - at himself. He hated everything about what he was turning into. He didn't even recognize himself anymore. He hated that his emotions could control him. He didn't have control over anything anymore and that scared the shit out of him. All he wanted was to be normal Trent. The one that everyone hated and couldn't stand to be around. Back when things were easier - okay, not easier - but he didn't let anything get past the wall he built. Nothing could crush or break him. He was safe and cold. That's how he liked it. That's what he was used to. He hated pain and loved that he could be completely void of any emotion and live. His favorite quote played through his head. “How nice -- to feel nothing, and still get full credit for being alive.” That was him.. his life. As emo as it sounded, he didn't care because he would rather live with no emotion than let out what pain he had been feeling all his life. All these thoughts were swarming in his head and Abigail came up.

He turned around when he heard her voice, and listened to her ask if he was hitting on her. He groaned. Great, now she was going to be all pissed that he was starting to like her. Wait, like her? No, he wasn't starting to like her. No, he refused to admit that. He was going to have control over something. He wasn't going to like anyone. He realized the closer he got to anyone, the more his wall wears down. He can't do that. Can't let it happen. He rubbed his face with his hands and stared her straight in the eyes, "No, I wasn't hitting on you." Oh, he was completely lying out his ass, but he was going to get his control back. "I just said that. Look, I need to go." and with that, he began walking out. He hated himself. This time it wasn't because he was changing. He hated that he said that to Abigail. He lied to her and probably made her feel like shit. What had he done? It didn't matter. He wasn't going to give up control. No matter what it took to keep control, he would do it.

[Kristina Sylvia]

Kristina smiled when she heard that Holly had come with a girl. It meant that she liked them and more then just friends. The smile almost faded when she said that they had a fling going on. Then the fact that she was not with her date and with her made the whole situation brighten a little bit. She was giving herself hope and that hope was possibly false. Right now though that didn't matter. She had seen Addison and she was one pretty girl so the fact of the matter is that Holly would more then likely not down grade to a young and inexperienced and not as pretty Sophomore. Although there was the still dim hope that her walking away from Addison to talk to her had meant something. Kristina would hold onto that hope no matter what. She wanted to believe that she had something to offer and that she would be able to catch the attention of someone special. She sighed lightly as she thought of the slim chance she had. A slim chance was better then no chance. She was an optimistic. She wished at these moments that she knew how to read people. Then she would be able to tell if Holly like her or not. That way she wouldn't waste her time chasing her.

"It isn't bad, but it's kind of lame." She shrugged lightly. "I mean I had all this time to find a date and I couldn't." It was true. She did have all that time to find a date and she didn't ask anyone. She didn't like anyone before the book store incident. She usually like people from her hometown only. It was rare that she found someone at the Academy and when she did they never like her back. "Although I didn't really ask anyone so it is kind of my fault." She shrugged again. "This isn't the first dance I have come solo and it more then likely won't be my last." She smiled lightly. She didn't really the mind coming alone. She just hated that most people that it nerdish. She thought it was lame and nothing more. Yes she was ashamed of it sometimes but only because of the way people reacted. It was also true that it was kind of pathetic, but not enough to keep her away. She was debating whether she should say anything about the whole fling thing. She decided that she would sound desperate if she did. "Addison. Isn't she an art student?" She asked slyly.

[Addison Micklesen]

“Well seeing as I’d have ended up taking them off soon enough anyway,” she said with a light shrug. “I mean, I don’t know if you’ve ever wore any heels,” she teased him slightly, pulling away a bit to look up at him with a grin, giggling softly. “And if you have, I am so sorry I missed that, but it’s pretty hard on the back and feet,” she said with a nod, her grin widening slightly as she tilted her head to the side and raised an eyebrow at him. “Of course, there are other occasions on which I could probably attempt wearing some,” she said flirtatiously, smirking lightly as she moved her head back so that it was pressed to his chest. It was strange, whenever she pulled away, she longed to be closer again, to hear his heartbeat once more – she wasn’t sure anymore if she was actually dancing to the rhythm of the faded song they could hear from outside, or to the rhythm of his heartbeat. Both seemed like good possibilities right now. It was as though this type of closeness made things a bit… different. More real, somehow. As though it wasn’t just sex. She wasn’t entirely sure it was a good thing to be thinking and wishing that, but right now she didn’t care.

She wrinkled her nose slightly as he started answering to her question, saying some of the girls he went for did hold his interest. She tried not to judge or anything, but it seemed to her that being able to hold his interest wasn’t much if it came to trying out for a real relationship. Well, for her anyway, it had to be more than that. And she surely hoped that she didn’t just manage to ‘hold his interest’ because if that was the case, there were probably good chances it would never really go all that far. She frowned a bit as he next mentioned that he usually went for those girls because he was used to it, because people expected him to. That sounded like a bad reason to her. “Just because you’re used to it, doesn’t mean they’re the right type for you,” she said, shrugging a bit as she pulled away from him slightly, no longer dancing. “You’re a smart guy, worth more than just being stuck with dumb blondes who can hardly say two words in a row without having to correct the grammar.” So that was definitely the jealousy speaking, but at this point there wasn’t much she could do about it. “And you’ll never really know what would really be the best option for you if you don’t try anything different.”

[Taylor Smith]

Taylor was concentrating very hard on breathing evenly and keeping her heartbeat at a normal pace. It was a bit strange that everything that was happening tonight had such an effect on her, but she couldn’t quite figure why. She felt so many things at once right now, she wasn’t really sure of which emotions was the strongest. She wasn’t too sure of how things would turn out, if she’d be worth more to him than the random girls he picked up and had sex with, and she sincerely hoped she would, because even though people are hard to change, and anyway she didn’t plan on changing him, she never would, but she didn’t believe that the aspects of his personality he let out when it came to relationships was the real him. She didn’t believe he was a guy who wouldn’t be able to care more for a girl than just for a one night stand. Because if that was the case, she knew the two of them would never happen, and that wasn’t a thought she wanted to have. She wanted to be with him. She felt great in his arms, she felt excited about dating him, though for now it didn’t seem to be anything very serious. But it didn’t take away the fright she felt at the novelty of everything that was happening tonight.

She bit down on her bottom lip lightly as he moved closer again, looking up at him through her eyelashes shyly, her cheeks turning slightly red. She was pretty sure that he was going to kiss her again, and that was pretty much something to look forward to. She was a bit worried about being a bad kisser, and obviously he’d notice if that was the case (which it probably was) because he was experienced at it, but she figured there would be no other way of getting better than by practicing. Her breath caught in her throat as he moved even closer to her and she let out a soft sigh as he pressed his lips to hers again, feeling that the kiss was somehow different this time, though she was really able to tell what was so different about it. She shivered a bit as she felt her body pressed a bit closer to his, his hand moving up her back so that it was on her skin, feeling goosebumps where his fingers touched. Tentatively, she tried answering to the kiss a bit more deeply, slowly wrapping her arms around his neck, tilting her head slightly as she moved her lips against his. She was no expert, but at least she was starting to get the hang of it.

She smirked a bit and shook her head as he tried to explain exactly why he’d taken her to homecoming, which would probably have landed him in even more trouble had he been with another girl but her who’d requested the same explanation. Really, sweet and nice as he was – which were pretty good things about his personality when trying to get most teenage girls who dreamed of romance and cheesiness… probably like that Cara he was talking about – talking definitely wasn’t his forte. He seemed to be searching for his words, trying to get himself out of trouble but merely getting stuck into even more of it. In all honesty, Cassandra found that rather entertaining. Well, she wasn’t about to laugh at his face about it – she didn’t really laugh anyway. For someone to hear her or make her laugh, well… that’d definitely be a day to mark on the calendar. She couldn’t really remember the last time someone had made her laugh, really laugh, laugh til her stomach hurt and tears came to her eyes. And to be completely honest, she didn’t really care, either.

She could see the surprise on his face after she asked the question, understanding that he’d gotten the full meaning of it. She wasn’t too worried about the response, either. He seemed to be too nice to turn her down completely or call her a whore or something like that to her face, not that it’d affect her or anything. She herself had to admit that she wouldn’t entirely blame him if he actually thought that. After all, they hadn’t seen each other all that often or talked very much as to now, and they hardly knew each other. But Cass wasn’t anywhere near being an innocent girl and she was pretty much like most guys when it came to sex. After all, she didn’t think it fair that a guy who’d have a one night stand would be seen as cool and stuff by his friends, but the girl would be seen as a slut or a whore. It was a prejudice, and it was sexist. She knew what she wanted, and she knew how to get it. Besides, she thought it stupid to wait a long while into the relationship before having sex. Sexual chemistry played a good part in most relationships, and if it was really bad and you were far into your relationship, well that was pretty bad. Smirking lightly as he tried to flirt back, she tilted her head slightly with a raised eyebrow. “How about I give you a reason?”

He smiled lightly as he saw her nodding after he told her there was nothing to be sorry about, glad that she wasn’t insisting about apologizing. By this time, he was really using his self control to its fullest, because he just wished he could feel her just as close as she’d been for merely a few seconds once more, or he wished he could at least find a way to touch her skin a bit more, but seeing as how not revealing her dress was, that was pretty much an impossibility. He just had to settle with lightly caressing the back of her hand and stroking her cheek from time to time, though he didn’t really think that’d be taken too well if he did it too often. He longed to touch and feel more of her, wished he could just run his hands through her hair, stroke her back softly, find out how her lips would feel against his, how much she would blush if he even tried kissing her, how cute she’d look with that shy look on her face. And those thoughts really weren’t good thoughts to have at this point, because if he kept thinking on it, his body might get a mind of its own and his lips would be on hers before he knew it.

He couldn’t help but chuckle lightly when she spoke up, obviously trying to start a conversation and possibly make the awkwardness go away. He didn’t really mind the silence all that much, but he figured that she might, and if she felt uncomfortable she might actually want to leave earlier which wouldn’t really be all that fun. He could see she wasn’t really in an environment she was used to at the moment, and though he tried as much as he could to make her comfortable, he knew there might not really be a way to do so for now. After all, they didn’t know each other all that much, and this might be a bit harder on her than it was on him to dance so closely with someone who was practically a stranger. He smiled at her lightly as an idea came to his mind, hoping she wouldn’t take it the wrong way, but it seemed like a good thing to do at this point, and it might put her more at ease. “Hey, what do you say we ditch this dance and go walk around or something? We could go in the city and grab an ice cream or something,” he suggested. He figured that way they’d get to know each other better, and that might make the evening more comfortable to her.

[Abigail Donner]

Abigail couldn’t really believe Trent had been hitting on her. It just didn’t make sense. He didn’t like her, she didn’t like him. There was no liking going on between the two of them, they were hardly civil to one another most of the time when they met in the school or outside. Why would that change now? There was no good reason, no event that’d happened that would have made either change their mind as to the other… well, aside from the meeting in the park that’d been a bit uncharacteristic for the two of them, at least for a while. Still, she didn’t think that’d been a good enough reason for him to actually try and… hit on her. Well, it was surely a joke. Just a prank, he was trying to make fun of her, trying to get her to respond to his fake flirting and then he’d be able to make her life Hell. It was the only thing she could think of that would make sense, the only thing she wanted to admit. Because admitting, even if only to herself, that he might have actually been hitting on her for real, would probably lead her to admit that she was actually happy about that, in some ways. And that just wouldn’t do. Couldn’t.

It didn’t came as much of a surprise when he said he hadn’t been hitting on her for real, though there was the slightest hint of disappointment in her as she heard him say that. Of course, it wasn’t true, honestly! How could she have even thought it would have been? A guy like him, trying to get to a girl like her. That didn’t make sense at all, and it was completely stupid of her to have even thought it could actually be real. “Didn’t think so,” she said with a roll of her eyes, determined not to let show any emotions that might hint to the fact that she wished he’d answered differently. When he said he needed to go, she shrugged, shaking her head lightly. “Yeah, whatever,” she muttered to herself, a strange sensation building up in her throat, a bit like pins and needles, her eyes burning a bit. She wasn’t about to cry over this, of course. That would really be the last straw. She was tired, is all. Probably getting sick too. She shouldn’t have stayed up so late during the previous week. Lack of sleep. That was the problem.

[Elijah Emerson]

Watching the smile flit across her face in turn caused him to smirk. There were small things about Roxanne that attracted him to her. Like the way the blush crept through her face when he said something that embarrassed or flattered her. And it was so evident, like a bright light flickering on and off. He liked how innocent she was, it wasn’t very often you came across someone like her, most girls nowadays weren’t so innocent. Not to mention she was one of the few girls who actually dressed conservative but made it look nice. The one thing that threw him off was the fact that she wasn’t all that genuine. Sure innocence was of her essence. But it was easy to tell that she wore a mask. And he wanted to break her off that. And he wasn’t too sure that it wasn’t the reason he wanted to get to know her better. But the more time he spent with her, the more acquainted they got, and the more he understood. But even if she wasn’t trying too hard to be cryptic, she was. And it made it difficult to get inside her head. But he would. Eventually.

He looked up at her when she asked her question. The smile that’d been on his face reappeared, and he ran a free hand through his hair. “Well, to be honest, because I wanted a reason to ask you out since I don’t know you all that well yet.” He chuckled, feeling the vague sense of embarrassment as he told her the truth. The one thing he never did was blush, and this was no exception. He was usually a proud person, so he had nothing to be embarrassed about. And he was honest, he’d always been that way. “Don’t get me wrong dances are fun and all, but I’d rather spend my time in my room playing X-box 360 online, then dancing with a bunch of girls I barely even know. And guys….” He told her, shuddering at the guy part. It was always strange to not be surrounded on all sides by girls. Guys were just not his cup of tea and he enjoyed the female anatomy very much. Grinning as he turned his attention back to her, he took her cup and his and tossed them in the trash. “So now that I’ve been put in the hot seat, I’m going to put you in it, and you can answer while we dance. That is if you want to.” He told her, taking her hands and walking backwards to the dance floor as he shook his hips playfully.

“Answer honestly.” He told her, nodding his head and the waiting a few seconds to ask it. “Why did you agree to accompany me here.”

[Connor Micklesen]

Connor in fact had worn heels, as when he was younger he used to love to play dress up with his girl cousins when he went over to their house, but that was probably not something that should be shared. Especially not with the girl that he was sleeping with, it'd be a very bad idea indeed. He had a feeling that if he did share that particular fact about his past that she'd probably never let it go, ever. Besides, it wasn't something that he really wanted anyone to know. Though he was pretty sure that his mother still had some pictures hidden around somewhere that he was going to have to burn when he finally got his hands on them. Anyway, the point was that he did know how uncomfortable high heels could be. He couldn't help but grin slightly as he heard her next flirtatious statement. "I'll keep that offer in mind," he told her, that had a lot of interesting possibilities that he was going to have to remember for a later time period. Mostly because right now they were just outside dancing with one another and he wasn't exaclty sure she'd want to leave just yet.

"No need to be so harsh Addie," he said with a frown when she told him that he was worth more than just getting stuck with dumb blondes who couldn't say more than two words without having grammar errors. "They usually happen to be pretty nice people. Just because they aren't exactly the smartest people or have the conformed look doesn't mean that I can't be interested in them seriously. I've actually had quite a few actual relationships with them." As she added the last part he kept frowning. "Just because everyone seems to stereotype them all as the same person doesn't mean that they are Addison. Looking like someone else and having some similar qualities doesn't mean that they're all the same types of people. I could pick someone out of that group that could be exactly like you are, just because they don't dye their hair odd colors or have the reputation that you do doesn't mean they can't be close to the same person that you are." He didn't like the way that she was talking down about the other girls, some part of him registered that it was probably jealousy speaking but he wasn't paying attention to it.

[Addison Micklesen]

Addie was starting to get a bad feeling about how the conversation was turning. Remembering her first encounter with Connor, she knew he didn't take very well anything about his conformed personality being judged, and she'd pretty much just thrown at his face that the girls he went for were all, well... probably not worth it. It was a bit strange how they could so easily go from perfect evening to on their road to Hell, but it seemed that she could never get her mouth shut at the right time. She just had to go and ask the questions that would set him of, or at least that wouldn't make him entirely happy. It wasn't the main goal of it all, really - she was honestly curious, but also slightly jealous and even a bit hurt by the fact that he could date stupid girls who he didn't even like because that's what people expected him to, and it'd probably get his friends to high five him when he told them he'd gotten into a hot girl's bed. She was the freak on campus, and the only thing he'd be getting if he told anybody he was sleeping with her was a weird look and probably a few things said behind his back. She knew that didn't sound too appealing, and she could somehow understand why he didn't want it to be known. It still hurt though that he didn't even seem to care.

However, it seemed that this evening would turn out to be different than their first meeting - instead of him getting angry, she was the one getting pissed off. She listened to most he had to say without really answering to anything, figuring there was nothing she could say at this point anyway. The last thing he said though plainly set her off. She pulled away from him entirely, taking a few steps back and looking at him a bit harshly, anger easy to read on her face though if someone looked closer there was also a bit of pain and sadness into it to. To her, what he'd just said pretty much meant that he'd go for a girl just like her that looked normal and didn't have a bad reputation. It was like saying 'I like you' and then going for the girl who has all the good sides of your personality, but not the bad ones that could affect his reputation. "Well you know what Connor? The wacky hair colors, the freak reputation, it's part of who I am, and there wouldn't be a girl just like me around without those parts, because they come along with the package," she said, her voice a bit shaky as she spoke. "And if you're that much of a coward that you won't be seen with me because then people might think differently of you and you can't deal with that, I really don't see why you even bother screwing around with me and asking me to come out to dance with you in the shadows, because obviously other people couldn't and shouldn't see that. Go screw your blonde vocalist, I'm done," she shook her head, turning around and heading back to the gym to grab her shoes.

[Holly Hale]

Holly couldn't help but notice that Kristina's smile seemed to fade ever so slightly at the mention of her and Addison's fling, which was a surprising factor she hadn't quite been counting on. After all she was slightly interested by the sophomore and was thinking about maybe seeing how things could work out between the two of them and by her reaction to the little piece of information that she'd just shared it was actually quite plausible to think that maybe the younger girl was interested in her, which wasn't something that she'd be unhappy to know. She was pretty sure that she could actually have a bit of fun with her, innocence was always fun to corrupt after all, even though she didn't think that the other girl was all that innocent she was still pretty sure she had quite a bit of innocence that would be fun to corrupt when given the chance, any maybe the chance was right in front of her. She'd just have to get the other girl to agree to it, but she really doubted that it would be that hard of work to do so. After all the girl was already expressing interest in her, so that was pretty much all the poof that she was going to need for a reason to go for it.

"Been there and done that," she said when Kristina mentioned that she had all the time to find a date but hadn't, that was actually her last year. She didn't think that it was that bad, plenty of people came to dances solo or just with their friends, they always seemed to have a good enough time. "No Addison is a swimmer," she couldn't help the sarcastic remark that came out of her mouth, even if the other girl was just trying to be polite and ask a question. It was just part of her personality, people just had to know how to deal with it. If they couldn't than it was their own problem. She looked around and then glanced back at Kristina after a moment of silence. "So do you want to dance?" she asked bluntly, she wasn't afraid of being turned down or anything of the sort.

Milo couldn't help but notice that her cheeks turned a slight shade of red once he moved closer to her and couldn't help but wonder what he'd be able to do without her blushing, not that he didn't like her blushing because it was pretty well established that he did but he was just curious if it was just him the blushing was effective with of if she'd react the same way to everyone that tried to kiss her and compliment her, he hoped that that wasn't the case but it was something he'd probably ask her the next time that it came up, out of curiosity purposes. He knew that there were probably a few people stealing glances at the two of them right now and was pretty sure that the two of them would end up in the gossip column in the upcoming school newspaper, he could almost guarantee he knew that they were going to say too. He was just curious how she'd react when she was going to be noted as just another girl for him to fuck, which wasn't the case. But that was something that only him and Addie knew for certian, he figured that she was probably hoping that it wasn't the case and when he managed to be able to admit that to her he'd tell her, until then he'd just safely stay away from the subject until it came up.

He was glad to see that there wasn't as much hesitation to her answering the kiss this time. He could tell that she was still a bit unsure however, but he still kept the kiss going, seeing that she was starting to get the hang of it. He was sure that she was probably just a bit worried about being a bad kisser, but he thought that she was doing just fine and he'd had worse kisses in his life, at least he was enjoying this one, he'd have to thank Addie later for her insisting that he went after her because he really liked how well things seemed to be turning out for him. He continued lightly stroking her back, liking the feeling of her soft skin under his fingers as he kept deepening the kiss a little more. He kept the hand that wasn't on her upper back firmly on her waist, resisting the temptation to move it any further down her body figuring that she'd probably have a bad reaction if he did so and he didn't want to push his luck right at that moment. After all, he was standing there kissing an attractive girl that he might actually like as more than just another girl to get in bed.

When he pulled away for air something out of the corner of his eye caught his attention, he frowned as he realized that it was Addie who looked pretty upset for some reason or another. She seemed to be leaving in quite a hurry and he sighed frowning a bit. "Look Taylor I'd like to stay and everything, but I've gotta go see what's the matter with Addie," he gave her an apologetic look and another peck on the lips before he headed out after his best friend.
